Adrien Brody's Clean is eyeing a 2022 release through IFC Films. Clean is a crime thriller that follows Brody's title character as he struggles with the loss of his daughter while trying to reconcile his violent past when gang violence threatens his neighbor's life. It's said to be a redemption story with neo-noir elements. Alongside Brody, the film also stars Glenn Fleshler, Chandler DuPont, RZA, and Michelle Wilson. Clean is directed by Paul Solet, who previously directed Brody in Bullet Head.

As reported by THR, Clean's North American distribution rights have gone to IFC Films, and while no official date has been given for the release, it is said to be slated for 2022. The film is through Brody's own production company, Fable House, where he serves as a producer. However, Clean is a passion project for Brody, who wore many hats for the production. Aside from producing and starring, he also co-wrote the script with Solet and even composed the film's score. In a personal statement, Brody said, "From script to screen, I’ve never been more involved in the creation of a film."

Clean looks to be an exciting thriller with some action elements where Brody can tap into a complex character with his dramatic skillset while also getting to show audiences his action chops. Brody has proven in the past that he can handle both as he's starred in action-heavy films like 2010's Predators and even secured a Best Actor Oscar for his dramatic work in 2002's The Pianist. Clean has yet to release a trailer, but updates, including the film's official release date, will come out as 2022 draws closer.
