Alums of The Bachelor franchise are voicing their opinions of Tuesday night's episode, which saw Clayton Echard and Susie Evans part ways after he was physically intimate with both Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey. Ever since ABC announced that Clayton would lead season 26, he's received his share of fan hate. After barely getting screen time on Michelle Young's season of The Bachelorette, many felt he didn't deserve the honor. Given his delayed elimination of the problematic Shanae Ankney, his approval ratings continued to decline. Now, following a shocking altercation with finalist Susie, even past contestants are denouncing Clayton.

During the recent episode of The Bachelor, viewers cringed as Clayton professed his love to Rachel, Gabby and Susie, each of whom thought they were the only recipient of the "L" word. Susie, who had the final date of fantasy suite week, dreaded the thought of Clayton sleeping with either of her competitors. In her opinion, if he truly saw himself with her at the end of this journey, he wouldn't risk their relationship. However, Clayton did sleep with Rachel and Gabby, much to the disgust of Susie. Clayton, who informed Susie that he loved her the "most," was confused as to why she didn't share this deal-breaker with him ahead of time. When Susie refused to talk things through, Clayton became angry that she was giving up and walked her to the car, his demeanor cold.

On the heels of this heated moment, alums of The Bachelor franchise took to Twitter to share their thoughts on everything that went down. The consensus was simple - Clayton was in the wrong. Jason Tartick, fiancé of former The Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, described the episode as a "horror movie" and stated, "DONT blame her CLAYTON." He also believed Clayton strategically dropped the "L" bombs to "get the old 'how do ya do.'" Amanda Stanton, who was on Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor, expressed her support for Susie by sarcastically tweeting, "Just a friendly reminder to make sure to tell your significant others that you wouldn't be ok with them sleeping with other women. Otherwise they won't know better."

Also on Team Susie was former The Bachelor Nick Viall, who said, "Tonight's Bachelor episode shows one person handling their frustration, anger, sadness extremely well and another person doing the exact opposite." Nick added that there was no opportune time for Susie to bring up her fantasy suite concerns prior to their date. On his "The Viall Files" podcast, Nick said, "The way he talked to Susie, he basically was describing him blacking out while having dates with Rachel and Gabby and then got back to his hotel room and like, came to and realized, 'What have I done?'"

A number of fans saw both sides. While they understood Clayton's desire to explore each relationship, they also understood Susie's disgust at the idea of her potential fiancé sleeping with other women mere days before their engagement. Regardless of where one stands on the situation, it's clear that Clayton's journey is only going to get worse, especially when he tells Rachel and Gabby that he's in love with both of them. Bachelor Nation can't wait to see what unfolds next week and whether or not the mysterious person knocking on Clayton's door is Susie, back to reconcile.
