Don Mancini, who created the Child's Play franchise back in the '80s, released a new Chucky set photo of himself with Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif. Tilly is considered a veteran of the Child's Play franchise, first appearing in 1998's Bride of Chucky as Chucky's new wife Tiffany. Fiona Dourif is the daughter of Brad Dourif, who has voiced Chucky since Tom Holland's original 1988 film. Fiona Dourif debuted in the franchise in Curse of Chucky as Nica Pierce, which acted as a soft reboot for the series. Cult of Chucky continued Nica's storyline, and by the end of the movie, Chucky had possessed Nica's body and escaped with Tiffany

Despite there being some confision about Chucky's story when the official plot synopsis first came out, Fiona Dourif has since confirmed the Child's Play TV show will continue Cult of Chucky's storyline. Recently, for Comic-Con@Home, Syfy released the first official trailer for Chucky, giving fans a better idea of what the show would be about. Fiona Dourif and Tilly weren't included in the trailer, so it's possible Nica and Tiffany won't be shown in any trailers or clips until Chucky premieres to keep building anticipation for the series. That being said, Mancini has shared a handful of set photos throughout production.

Mancini has now shared a new look at the series, showing himself sitting in bed with Tilly and Fiona Dourif. Tilly also shared her own image from set, reminding fans that Chucky premieres on October 12. Both Mancini and Tilly's original posts can be seen below:

Both of the above images look like they are in some type of motel room, and with Chucky being reunited with Tiffany by possessing Nica, it would make sense if there is a scandalous scene involving the two characters. Despite Chucky coming to cable TV on Syfy, the killer doll can drop 10 bombs per episode, which is on par with Chucky's vulgar language in the movies. From what has been shown so far, it looks like the Child's Play TV show isn't going to be impacted too much by having to keep it TV-friendly.

Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky were by far the two raunchiest additions to the franchise. Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky were much more focused on the horror elements, but it's clear Mancini is looking to the previous movies for inspiration on the upcoming series. Mancini recently stated that he is trying to match Chucky's tone to Child's Play 2, which is often considered the fan-favorite. Tiffany herself is a fan-favorite character, and Dourif has also been praised for her role in the franchise. Chucky looks to be focusing on younger teenage characters based on the trailer, but hopefully Fiona Dourif and Tilly will have sizable roles throughout the 10 episodes.
