Jennifer Tilly shares new photos from the set of the Chucky TV series, teasing her return as the titular doll's love interest Tiffany Valentine. Created and executive produced by franchise creator Don Mancini, the series will center on a small idyllic town thrown into chaos when a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a local yard sale and a series of murders leads to the exposure of the town's dark secrets. Tilly returns alongside franchise vets Brad and Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, and Christine Elise McCarthy as well as the addition of genre icon Devon Sawa.

Mancini's development of the series has been ongoing for nearly four years, partly stemming from his disappointment with the Mark Hamill-led remake as well as acting as another route to continue the franchise after Cult of Chucky. Following an exchanging of hands between NBCUniversal networks SYFY and USA before electing to air on both and delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, production finally got underway on the series in March. Though it's unclear whether it will make its originally scheduled fall 2021 premiere window, those involved are keeping the anticipation high for the killer doll's return.

With a few months of shooting behind her, Tilly took to Instagram to share a couple of photos from the set of the series teasing the return of Tiffany. Sporting the iconic blonde hairstyle seen in prior films, namely Cult of Chucky, the murderous character is back for more mayhem. Check out Tilly's BTS images below:

The images may not offer much in the way of teases about what fans can expect from Tiffany's return, but just the sight of the character should be enough to entice them nonetheless. While Seed of Chucky certainly saw a mixed reception from fans, Tilly's turn as Tiffany has found plenty of praise since her debut in 1998's Bride of ChuckyMancini's slow-burn approach to building a legacy story with his direct-to-video sequels slowly introducing characters from past films helped longtime viewers of the series forgive their low-budget sensibilities and appreciate the writer/director's bigger goals for the story.

With a more expansive take on the material coming from the Chucky TV series, it will be interesting to see what Mancini has in store for the characters. Given the cliffhanger ending of Cult and the series' direct tie to the film, there are a lot of loose ends still to be tied up in the Child's Play universe. Plus, with his endless teases of a potential Nightmare on Elm Street crossover and desire for further exploration into the Glen/Glenda character after their absence from Curse and Cult, the series has plenty of possibilities of what's to come for the killer doll's future when the series finally arrives.
