Chucky season 2 has confirmed a large portion of its cast, which includes new additions Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano, among others. The first TV show in Don Mancini's continuing Child's Play franchise, Chucky premiered on Syfy and USA Network in 2021. The series is set after the events of 2017's Cult of Chucky, and it follows the homicidal doll as he commits another series of murders in Hackensack, New Jersey. The show was one of the highest-rated cable TV premieres in 2021, and with a glowing critical reception, Chucky was quickly picked up for season 2 by its home networks.

With Chucky, several noted Child's Play veterans have staged a comeback. For one, Brad Dourif returned to voice Chucky/Charles Lee Ray, while Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, and Christine Elise are reprising their roles as Tiffany, Alex, and Kyle. However, apart from the returning players, Chucky largely centers on a new cast of teenagers, played by rising actors Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Björgvin Arnarson, and Alyvia Alyn Lind. Heading into Chucky season 2, there will be some shake-ups in the main cast, with Fiona Dourif returning and Devon Sawa playing a new character. Now, some additional information about the season 2 castings has been revealed.

In a recent tweet, Syfy announced new cast additions for Chucky season 2. The newcomers include Meg Tilly (Psycho II), Gina Gershon (Borderlands), Joe Pantoliano (Bad Boys for Life), Tony Nappo (Saw II), and Sutton Stracke (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills). No details about their characters have been disclosed, although viewers can get a potential glimpse at them in character as they pose together for a cast photo, shown below.

The new cast members join previously announced Hannibal star Lara Jean Chorostecki, who is set to recur as a mysterious character in Chucky season 2. Chucky's killer streak in season 1 had left Hackensack devoid of adults. The doll orchestrated the deaths of Lexy's dad Nathan, Devon's mom Kim, and Jake's dad Lucas during the show's freshman run, while also completely destroying the Wheeler family. Now, the recent cast additions bring a bunch of new adults to the town, presumably giving Chucky and his army of dolls new targets.

At the moment, it's hard to predict what roles the new cast members could play in Chucky season 2, and what their presence in Hackensack will entail for Jake and the other teenagers. However, considering that Chucky's army of dolls has a larger part to play in the series' sophomore season, it is likely that some of the new characters could end up being unfortunate victims. Currently, Chucky season 2 is due to wrap up production in August, so more details will become clear once the show begins to roll out teasers and trailers later this year.
