First Set Pics From Christopher Nolan's Inception!

Here at Screen Rant we've done some extensive coverage of Christopher Nolan's upcoming secretive sci-fi thriller, Inception. It's been said many times before but we really don't know all that much about it, with only some character descriptions, some thin location info (mostly unconfirmed) and the line, "A contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind," to really go on.

However, today, thanks to Coming Soon, we have our first proper look at Inception via the first images from the film's set. They mainly consist of DiCaprio's "CEO type" character, which is not surprising considering he's the lead. Ellen Page and Marion Cotillard are also featured in some of the images with DiCaprio, in the midst of what looks like a pretty intense scene on a bridge. Take a look for yourself at a few of the images:

For the rest of the set pics you can head over to Coming Soon.

The only solid info we've had about Inception up until this point is who's going to be in the film, with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy making up the cast; an impressive and diverse list of performers that Nolan has assembled for his first film post-The Dark Knight, I think you'll agree.

It's nice to finally to get our first real look at Nolan's latest film, which looks to be deceptively large-scale considering the rumored $200 million budget (there's not been confirmation on that number, however). The pics are, obviously, a bit more concrete than what we've had to had to go on up until this point, but still don't reveal TOO MUCH.

I expect it'll be early next Spring before we start to see Inception get pushed hard in the marketing department, even if we're supposed to be getting the first teaser for the film attached to Inglourious Basterds this friday. I'm guessing it will be exactly as described... a teaser, with no real footage for us to see. For those of us who keep up with everyday movie news (and if you're reading this that probably includes you) I'm sure we'll have set pics and reports here and there for the next few months to keep us occupied.

What do you think of these set pics? What are your thoughts on what we know of Inception thus far?

Inception is scheduled for a July 16th, 2010 release.
