The Chrisley Knows Best family suffered another setback after Todd and Julie Chrisley's 16-year-old son Grayson Chrisley was hospitalized after sustaining injuries in a car crash. The Chrisleys have been undergoing a tough period lately. In June, the family's patriarch and matriarch, Todd and Julie, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax fraud. The couple, who denied all charges, was expected to be sentenced on October 6, but it was delayed to November 21. Since then, the Chrisley family and their fans have been praying for a favorable sentence.
However, while awaiting their sentencing, Todd and Julie had to deal with another setback after their teenage son Grayson was involved in a car accident. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed to People that Grayson drove into the back of a stopped vehicle in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 12. However, the teenager couldn't recall anything from the accident afterward, which might have been due to a head injury. An ambulance moved Grayson to the hospital after the accident to treat his injuries. Meanwhile, Todd shared details of the accident in the November 17 episode of his Chrisley Confessions podcast. He revealed that he ran out of the house and jumped into the car after receiving a call notifying him of Grayson's accident.
Todd Is Grateful Grayson Is Alive
Todd added that when he arrived at the interstate where the accident occurred, he met the highway patrol. In addition, there was heavy traffic while Grayson's car was totaled. Despite the nature of the incident, Todd was grateful for his son's life. He said, "I remember looking at Grayson on that stretcher in the back of that ambulance and him crying and the police stopping to talk to me before they took me to him and all I could think of was thank you God because he is alive and crying." He also narrated how he told doctors he would be with his son until they went home and how he held his hand and told him all would be okay. Todd further said his family is "blessed" because it "was property damage and not a life loss."
This is indeed a testing period for the Chrisley family. Todd and Julie's focus would have been on their impending sentencing, but their son's accident added to their worries. However, despite the incident's sad nature, the family is happy, as Todd noted, that Grayson made it out alive. The last thing Todd and Julie would have wanted to deal with going into their sentencing week was a tragic occurrence in the family. However, the couple will now be praying that their son recovers quickly from his injuries and gets back on his feet quickly.
Todd and Julie face a lengthy sentence following their conviction. Hence, the couple would hope their family is in one piece as they prepare to go behind bars for their crimes. A quick recovery for Grayson and a not-so-lengthy sentence for Todd and Julie would be welcome.
