This Thursday is Chris Pine's birthday, and Gal Gadot is celebrating with some new behind the scenes pictures from Wonder Woman 1984. Pine and Gadot first shared the big screen in 2017's Wonder Woman, the first solo movie centered on the iconic DC hero. With Gadot playing Diana and Pine as Steve TrevorWonder Woman received rave reviews, particularly when it came to the chemistry between the two. Last December's sequel attempted to recreate the magic by offering an interesting reversal to their relationship.

While the first movie saw Steve introducing Diana to the world of men, Wonder Woman 1984 had Diana being the leader. Though Steve died in World War I, the magic of the Dreamstone allows Diana to bring him back in the year 1984. Now Diana is the one showing Steve around. The specifics of Steve's Wonder Woman 1984 return are murky and controversial, but it allowed Pine and Gadot the chance to reunite. Offscreen, it's clear the two are quite fond of each other, as evidenced by Gadot's sweet birthday message for Pine.

August 26 is Pine's 41st birthday, and Gadot took to social media to give him a shoutout. "To the one who can make me laugh till my stomach hurts," she wrote, wishing him a happy birthday. She added, "Thank you for helping me ruin the best takes." Gadot included two pictures of herself and Pine laughing on the set of Wonder Woman 1984, further emphasizing just how much fun the two had while making the movie. Check out her post down below.

The release of the Wonder Woman 1984 gag reel earlier this year gave fans a peek at the silly antics the cast members got up to while making the movie, and that helps put Gadot's post into even greater perspective. Though Wonder Woman 1984 held a lot of emotional moments, it's clear there were only good vibes on set. It's also sweet to see Pine and Gadot get along so well; they make a great onscreen pair, and the affection extends into real life.

Gadot is expected to return as Diana at least one more time in Wonder Woman 3. Little is known about that project, save for that director Patty Jenkins will be back to helm it. Another Steve Trevor resurrection in Wonder Woman 3 is less certain, though one might hope Jenkins can sneak in a cameo from Pine. If Wonder Woman 1984 had to be the last time he played Steve, it was certainly a memorable comeback. Based on the gag reel and Gadot's new behind the scenes pictures, it looks like he had a lot of fun making it as well.
