Like pretty much everyone else who saw it, former Han Solo director Chris Miller likes the newest Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer. After a new full preview for the sequel was finally released last night, fans were obviously thrilled with the slew of new footage that we were able to see. You may remember that the last time we got a lengthy teaser was all the way back in April during this year's Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, and with just a little bit over two months left before the full film blasts through cinemas, everybody thought that it was high time for a new trailer. Fortunately, it didn't disappoint.

Miller and his filmmaking partner Phil Lord were originally tapped to helm the still untitled Han Solo prequel spin-off. Unfortunately, things reportedly did not go very well between the duo and LucasFilm execs Kathleen Kennedy and Lawrence Kasdan which resulted to the two being booted out of the project even with just less than a month left of principal photography. Veteran director Ron Howard eventually took over their place, whom since then have continued to tease fans with several on-set photos of the film. While we may never know what really panned out with regard to their falling out, Miller proves that he has no problem giving credit where it is due.

Taking to Twitter, Miller reached out to The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson to offer his congratulations. Check out the two's back and forth below:

Thanks Chris! Also I am a full week behind on crosswords. I feel that I need to be honest with you about that.— Rian Johnson (@rianjohnson) October 10, 2017

Han Solo's troubles have been the topic of much drama and speculation, so it's nice to see that Miller and Johnson, at least, are still on friendly terms. Although Miller's own experience with making a Star Wars movie ended prematurely, both directors know the pressure that comes with the privilege of helming a Star Wars film, which could be something that they have bonded over together

Alongside the release of the trailer, tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has also gone on sale, so fans are advised to get theirs as soon as possible as it is expected that they will be sold out quickly, if not already. While it is still difficult to predict how exactly the sequel film goes down, the new trailer gives us a bit more context in its narrative seeing almost all major game players doing their own significant bit to make up for the movie's over-all story: Luke and Rey are still in Planet Ach-To (presumably training), Leia, Poe and the Resistance try to fight off the First Order led by Kylo Ren while Finn is up to settle his business with Captain Phasma.
