Chris Hemsworth has finished filming Sony Pictures' Men in Black spinoff. Directed by Straight Outta Compton and Fate of the Furious helmer F. Gary Gray with a screenplay from Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, the still-untitled offshoot will center London-based operatives, Agent H (Hemsworth) and Agent M (Tessa Thompson). It's unclear how the upcoming movie will connect (or if it will) to the original series, but Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent J (Will Smith) are not expected to appear in this one. That said, the fact that Emma Thompson is reprising her role as Agent O means that there will be some kind of link between the main series and the new take.

Not much is known regarding the plot of the film as of yet, but the new crop of MIB agents are expected to tackle a murder mystery that will send them on a multi-country journey. Liam Neeson joins the cast as the head of the UK branch of the organization, as well as Rebecca FergusonKumail Nanjiani, and Rafe Spall in still-undisclosed roles. Filming for the movie started back in July and it seems like it's already on its last stretch with one of its leads wrapping up his work on the project.

Taking to his official Instagram, Hemsworth happily announced that he's finished filming the Sony Pictures spinoff with a slew of photos, including one featuring Gray and Thompson. The images are more likely taken during the more than three-month production and not on the day he wrapped itself. Check out the images below:

As with Hollywood tentpoles, chances are that reshoots are already lined up for the movie, which means Hemsworth could still be back on the set for some additional work. The actor also finished partaking in reshoots for Avengers 4 which began early last month and wrapped last week, as announced by directors Joe and Anthony Russo on their official social media. Hemsworth was able to sneak in his work for the still-untitled Marvel Studios film before filming for the Men in Black spinoff moved to another location following finishing up its London leg. With him was Thompson, also his Thor: Ragnarok co-star, who is expected to reprise her role as Valkyrie in the ensemble film after sitting it out in Avengers: Infinity War.

With the release date for the Men in Black spinoff still roughly eight months away, it's uncertain when fans' first official look at Agent H and Agent M will arrive. Until now, the only glimpse the public has had of the project is via social media postings by both Hemsworth and Thompson, but any formal marketing material (other than a teaser poster without any of the characters) from Sony Pictures has yet to be released. Usually, a teaser trailer or poster is rolled out in celebration of a film's production wrap up which could mean that either of those might come anytime soon. Meanwhile, there are several high-profile films that the studio has in their roster which could also be a vehicle for the film's first full trailer.
