New fan art shows what Chris Hemsworth would look like as as Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds as Thor. It's hard to imagine anyone else in either role at this point, with Hemsworth starring in six films (and counting) as Thor and Reynolds continuing to win fans over as the foul-mouthed mercenary Deadpool. Thor's thunderous entrance at the battle of Wakanda in Avengers: Infinity War became one of the MCU's most memorable moments earlier this year, while Deadpool 2 once again packed the laughs and thrills into one of the most unique packages in the superhero genre, continuing to succeed at the box office along the way.

Needless to say, when Hemsworth eventually bows out of the MCU and Reynolds moves on from Deadpool, both actors will be hard to replace. Both of them have made their characters wholly their own. But popular artist BossLogic decided to have some fun with the pair and bring to life what they may look like if the actors switched places.

Take a look at the artwork below, via BossLogic's official Instagram account. The artist drew inspiration from a funny Twitter interaction between Hemsworth and Reynolds, starting with Hemsworth announcing that his son slammed his face into his birthday cake with the candles still lit. After declaring that he'd now have to play Wade Wilson with his burnt face, Reynolds responded in kind, joking that his daughter stabbed him in the eye. That's when BossLogic imagined what they might look like in each other's most famous roles:

Clearly influenced by the actor's hilarious-yet-painful birthday story, the Hemsworth version of Wade Wilson is covered in cake in addition to being a typically accurate, detailed rendition of the actor if he took the role. Reynolds' version of Thor, meanwhile, gives him the same familiar short haircut, beard, and eye patch - complete with a My Little Pony unicorn painted on it.

When it comes to imagining movie characters in ways never seen before, few artists are as reliable and prolific as BossLogic. He made an impressively quick turnaround on these designs. He took a couple of Twitter jokes and made the idea of a universe with Reynolds as Thor and Hemsworth as Deadpool a reality.

Of course, at this stage, there probably won't be another Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for quite some time, and Reynolds hasn't shown any inclination to hang up his suit as Deadpool just yet. He is still scheduled to appear in Drew Goddard's X-Force movie, after all.
