Monday night saw 34-years-old former The Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe appear on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons - Ever! alongside boyfriend, Jason Tartick to discuss a recap of her season. Little did anyone know that host Chris Harrison would invite her to join the cast of the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars instead!

Back in 2017, Bristowe claimed she had been offered a spot on Dancing with the Stars' star-studded line-up back in 2015, just after her Bachelorette season had ended. She informed her fans via Twitter that her current contract with the show barred her from participating in Dancing with the Stars. She even went on to say that she was initially offered her spot on the season but, had to let it go after the contract and producer Mike Fliess told her that it wasn’t “allowed.” She alleged that the producer, now 56, "didn’t want people wanting fame after his show."

Last year, Hannah Brown became the first Bachelorette in nearly 15 years to compete (and win) on Dancing with the Stars, and Bristowe had commented that her casting was “long overdue.” Things took a happy turn on Monday’s remotely shot The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons - Ever! episode when Chris Harrison surprised the reality star with, “Kaitlyn, will you be on the next season of Dancing With the Stars?Boyfriend and Becca Kutin’s The Bachelorette star Jason Tartick gasped while a clearly shocked Kaitlyn responded with, “are you serious?” and excited accepted Harrison’s sweet offer, check out the moment below:

Fans were earlier speculating whether the Spade and Sparrows owner appearing on the show with beau Tartick in tow meant a live proposal was on the cards. And the long-time show host teased both the fans and the couple further with, “This is a question I’m so excited to ask you because, well, your life is about to change.” The couple who was appearing together from their Nashville home also spoke about how they met on Bristowe’s podcast and conveyed their gratitude to The Bachelor franchise. "By the way, I know you mentioned meeting your future wife… You know I'm an ordained minister," Chris said. Kaitlyn who expected Jason to pop the question even checked his pocket and thought she felt a ring box, but it turned out to be an earphones case instead. Giving away that Jason was in on the game, host Harrison mused, "I love that we just zinged her and didn't even try to."

Canada native Kaitlyn has released her debut single “If I’m Being Honest” just last month and the catchy but, eyebrow-raising tune even ranked #39 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart. With the string of good news that’s recently been in store for this groundbreaking The Bachelorette star, fans hope to see her winning the Mirrorball trophy soon enough. Until then, all eyes shall stay on ABC for them to announce the premiere date for Dancing with the Stars season 29.
