Chloe Bennet's Powerpuff Girls exit could set up her Marvel Cinematic Universe return as Daisy Johnson aka Quake in Phase 4. During the seven-season run of Agents of SHIELD, Bennet helped turn Quake into a fan-favorite Marvel character. The popularity of this actress/character combo only increased calls for her to make the jump to a main MCU property. This has led to various rumors about Bennet returning to play Quake, but none have proven to be correct so far.

The chance of Chloe Bennet playing Quake again in the immediate future took a perceived hit when it was announced that she would play one of the lead roles in The CW's live-action Powerpuff Girls. She signed onto the project as Blossom and filmed the pilot episode in early 2021. The logistics of Quake's return became more complicated as a result, as this role would give Bennet a full-time role as a series lead. However, The CW decided to rework Powerpuff Girls after seeing the pilot, which led to production being delayed. It has now been revealed that Bennet has left the show as a result of these delays, and that could give her time bring Quake back to the MCU.

Bennet's Powerpuff Girls exit is reportedly due to scheduling conflicts, which is an interesting explanation after taking a look at the actress' upcoming projects. She has taken her time to find the right projects for herself following Agents of SHIELD's run, but Powerpuff Girls was the one Bennet chose. Bennet doesn't have any other confirmed upcoming projects, so how could one interfere with her schedule? It is possible that Bennet secretly has a deal in place to play Quake in an upcoming MCU Phase 4 movie or show. Even if she doesn't, the Agents of SHIELD star theoretically has a more open schedule that could facilitate Quake's MCU return.

Marvel Studios has plenty of avenues to bring Chloe Bennet's Quake back in Phase 4 if they choose. There were once rumors of a Secret Warriors Disney+ show being in development. Quake is the future leader of that team in the comics, so it would make sense if Bennet returned for that. She could also be a good fit in Secret Invasion as part of Nick Fury's organization. The Disney+ show is expected to film this fall, which is also when Powerpuff Girls could've resumed filming. That would be one such explanation for Bennet's schedule clashing with The CW's live-action reboot. Quake would've also fit nicely in Ms. Marvel, but it seems too late for her to appear, and it might not even work that well if Kamala Khan's Inhuman origin is absent.

Chloe Bennet's MCU return as Quake might not be confirmed yet, but it could be the latest move in Marvel Studios' efforts to bring back actors who did great jobs playing Marvel characters in other properties. Daredevil star Charlie Cox is widely believed to be back as Matt Murdock for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will also reportedly bring back past Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, along with villains and supporting characters from their non-MCU franchises. Rumors continue to swirl that Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, and Jon Bernthal's Punisher could all come back too. Chloe Bennet's Quake is in the same mold of a great performer/character pairing that fans want to see much more of. Now that her Powerpuff Girls commitments are over, it could only be a matter of time before Quake returns to the MCU.
