Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will be haunting Netflix users with a third season on January 24th 2020. While the Netflix series made its original debut fittingly on October 31st, 2018, Sabrina is not a new franchise in the slightest. Archie Comics introduced the comic book world to Sabrina all the way back in 1971 in a series called Sabrina the Teenage Witch. She also got her own sitcom with the same title in 1996. On the show, Sabrina got into hijinks with her black cat sidekick Salem and often used magic to cope with the struggles of being a teenager in the late 90's - early 00's.

This time around, Sabrina's adventures are much darker and more perilous. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, based on a separate, newer comic book spin-off, begins the same way as the sitcom with Sabrina having to make an important decision regarding her powers on her 16th birthday. However, in the Netflix series, Sabrina has to make a much more existential decision on whether she'll pledge loyalty to Satan as a full witch or give up her powers and become a mortal.

Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has viewers hooked, so much so that there's already a part three in the works only two years after the show's original release. Earlier today, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's official Twitter account announced the show's new release date is January 24th, 2020. Archie Comic's Twitter account chimed in on the show's season 3 release as well with a hilarious parody of the "Woman Yelling at Cat" meme.

Kiernan Brennan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jazz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Richard Coyle, and Miranda Otto will all likely return for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3. Unfortunately, this new season will only have 8 episodes as opposed to the previous ten, continuing the pattern of each new season of Sabrina having less episodes than the one before. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Season 3 will likely pick up where it last left viewers off, worrying about the status of Nick and maintaining the suspense created by the other two seasons as Sabrina and her crew of friends trying and find their way into hell.

While Chilling Adventures of Sabrina isn't as popular as creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's other Archie Comics show Riverdale, it still draws in a devoted audience. Sabrina has a more feminist story while truly tackling the dark side of witchcraft. As queen, there are so many more possibilities for Sabrina dig her claws into the world of witchcraft which she was unwittingly thrown into. As far as Nick, viewers will just have to tune in to Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on January 24th to discover his fate.
