Two new posters for Child's Play have been released, this time with Chucky murdering Mr. Potato Head and Rex from Toy Story 4. Next week, Disney fans and horror fans will both be rushing to theaters, but they will definitely be in separate auditoriums. The Child's Play series with the demonic doll named Chucky started back in 1988, while the Toy Story movies with the iconic duo of Buzz and Woody didn't start until 1995.

Despite having similar concepts, the franchises are starkly different and will both be heading back to the big screen next week. Toy Story 4 will be a follow up to the successful Toy Story 3, which was released back in 2010. The film will see the return of well-known Toy Story characters while also introducing new characters like Forky and Keanu Reeves' Duke Caboom. Child's Play however, will not be a sequel, but rather a remake starring Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, and Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. While the two films will be released on the same day, characters from Toy Story have also been showing up in the Child's Play posters.

The marketing for Child's Play has already seen Chucky kill Woody, as well as Slinky and Buzz Lightyear, but his Toy Story killing spree has continued. In two new posters (via Movie Web) for Child's Play, Chucky has now killed Potato Head and the loveable dinosaur Rex. In the first poster, Chucky has driven a knife through the top of Potato Head and in the second, has melted the green plastic off of Rex. Check out both of the new posters below:

While people can certainly be fans of horror and Disney, the two films are no doubt targeting different audiences. Early reviews of Toy Story 4 have been overwhelmingly positive, while fans haven't heard any reactions or reviews about the new Child's Play. If Chucky would have been returning to the big screen for a sequel rather than a reboot, more people may have been behind the film. Since it is a reboot without Brad Dourif voicing Chucky, there are plenty of die-hard fans who are upset about the film.

Whether people are excited about Child's Play or not, there is no denying the marketing material for the film has been clever. United Artists has released several posters with Toy Story characters; however, they look slightly different or are deformed to avoid copyright issues. Child's Play does this with their posters, but Toy Story 4 obviously can't include any variation of Chucky since it would likely terrify children. Child's Play and Toy Story 4 will both fill auditoriums next weekend, but Child's Play definitely has the upper hand when it comes to clever marketing material.
