NBC announces the fall premiere dates for all One Chicago shows. As the summer goes on, many series that went on their seasonal break are already going back to production in preparation for what comes next for their respective stories. That includes NBC's One Chicago block, which means there's a clearer schedule ahead for the shows as their respective next season comebacks inch nearer.

Produced by legendary TV executive Dick Wolf, the One Chicago section is an extension of its already successful New York-based procedurals, spearheaded by Law & Order: SVU. There are three branches in the Windy City-based franchise: Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med. All created by Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, and Wolf, it started in 2012 with Chicago Fire. It was then used to launch its first spinoff, Chicago PD, which officially premiered in 2014 following a 2013 backdoor pilot. Finally, in 2015, came Chicago Med. One Chicago was meant to have a fourth offshoot in Chicago Justice, but the show was unfortunately cancelled.

Now, TV Line reports that Chicago Fire season 11, Chicago PD season 10, and Chicago Med season 8 will all begin airing on September 21. The shows will retain their original time slots, starting with Chicago Med at 8pm EST, Chicago Fire at 9pm EST, and Chicago PD at 10pm EST. No additional information has been revealed regarding narrative specifics for the programs, but NBC Entertainment's official Twitter account confirmed this news on Twitter. There was never a doubt that all One Chicago shows were returning for the 2022-2023 TV season, as they were previously awarded three-season renewals back in 2020, just before the coronavirus pandemic. After this year, however, it remains uncertain if NBC will be bringing them all back. For what it's worth, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med remain ratings juggernaut for the network. Considering the great working relationship with Wolf, not to mention the precedent set by Law & Order: SVU season 24, chances are that One Chicago will be back intact moving forward.

As for what fans can expect from the One Chicago shows, both Chicago Fire season 10 and Chicago PD season 9 ended on some sort of cliffhangers. After Firehouse 51 Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide's wedding, the pair find themselves in what could be a dangerous situation as they start their honeymoon. Meanwhile, over at Intelligence, Hank Voight suffers a massive loss after the unexpected death of his CI, Anna Avalos. As for Chicago Med season 8, some relationships are getting more interesting, including Will and Hannah's as they become new neighbors - that is, until their apartment building catches fire.
