With an open chair recently becoming available on the Dancing With The Stars judges' table, professional dancer Cheryl Burke may be a possible candidate to fill the chair. Cheryl has been a pro on the show since its start in 2005. Over the years, Cheryl has taken home two Mirror Ball Trophy wins.

After the most recent season came to an end, Cheryl announced her DWTS retirement. In a lengthy Instagram post, Cheryl said, "Tomorrow night will officially be my final dance as a pro dancer on @dancingwiththestars. This has been one of the absolute hardest decisions of my life & I am also confident that it is the right one." Although Cheryl will no longer be competing inside the ballroom, she still has a chance to be a part of the show. With head judge Len Goodman retiring, Cheryl can possibly fill his seat on the judges' panel. Since Cheryl has been on DWTS since its inception, she has been around for all the changes made over the years. Cheryl has the most experience among all the pros and has received the most feedback from the judges, making her the most familiar with what they want to see and not see in the couples' performances.

Cheryl’s Former DWTS Partner Cody Rigsby Thinks She Should Judge

Dancing with the Stars' Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby

Cheryl's partner from DWTS season 30, Cody Rigsby, thinks Cheryl should become a judge. He believes that Cheryl has plenty of experience on the show and has given viewers years of entertaining and impressive dancing. Cody also feels that having another female on the judges' panel will be a great change for the show. Although Cody made some good points, Cheryl might not be the best addition to the table. Cheryl has worked closely with many of the current professional dancers on DWTS for years in a way that the other judges have not. This could ultimately influence the way Cheryl would judges.

Fans that have watched DWTS for many years know that Cheryl has no problem vocalizing her opinion. Although this is a good thing, especially when it comes to critiquing the couples, this could also stir up some drama and disagreements with the other DWTS judges, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli. Having two former pro dancers as judges may ultimately affect the overall judging of the competition.

Cheryl has previously mentioned her interest in becoming a DWTS judge; however, it has not yet been confirmed that Len will be replaced. The show may revert to the earlier seasons of simply only having three judges. This would ultimately eliminate the controversy regarding the way the judges' votes are handled during weekly eliminations. Fans will have to wait and see what changes will be brought to the ballroom for Dancing With The Stars season 32 next year.
