As Favreau continues to dive into food history, he is also revisiting both his past in film as well as looking at people from the industry itself. It's a genuinely creative collaboration between two fantastic areas. Here are the 10 best episodes of this foody show for film fans.

SAM RAIMI

Sam Raimi is an absolute legend in the horror genre and has of course even stepped on over into the world of Marvel. With rumors that he may be making his first MCU film, it's the perfect time to watch him and Jon Favreau make sourdough bread together.

Not only is the bread that's created absolutely incredible, but it gives these two directors some time to chat about their hobbies and interests as well as some of the time they've spent on sets. Season 3 episode 4 is a fun one to introduce film fans into the show.

CHEF FILM RECIPES

For anyone who has watched Chef and loved the food that was made throughout the film, they need to watch episode 3 of season 1. That hit some of the classics of the film, including the pasta made for Scarlet Johansson and the famous cubano.

The flavors simply jump off the screen, and while this may not be about the film industry in general, it gives an interesting look into the relationship between Favreau and Roy Choi, who the film is partially based on.

SKYWALKER RANCH

Any fan of the galaxy far far away will love episode 5 of season 2. In this episode, Jon Favreau takes a trip to Skywalker Ranch, where he has been working and indeed eating a lot of the time, due to his work on his latest Disney+ show.

SETH ROGEN

Film fans will love the fact that season 2 of the show actually kicks off with an appearance from none other than Seth Rogen. The charismatic comedian and actor shows that he's actually quite the hand in the kitchen.

Not only is this an opportunity to watch Rogen and Favreau talk about the films they love, but it's also great to see them talk a little about Jewish culture and cooking as they work on some really interesting chicken dishes.

ROBERT RODRIQUEZ

Robert Rodriquez is not only an amazing storyteller, but he's also a great pizza chef it turns out. His pizzas truly look out of this world. For any film fans, they'll love the director of Alita talking about bringing the battle angel to life.

Aside from this though, there's also a hilarious story about the number of pizzas Guillermo Del Toro managed to put away because they were simply that good. There's a lot of fun to be had with this season 1 episode for food and film fans alike.

AVENGERS

Asides from this hilarious moment, this episode has some great conversations about the careers of these two stars and indeed the food is absolutely phenomenal. It was a really unique start to this show.

AARON FRANKLIN

Aaron Franklin may not be too well known amongst film fans, but he actually has a small role in the film Chef. The final two episodes of season 1 show the BBQ technique that made the cut in the actual film.

The meat looks amazing, and the two episodes seem to be bursting with both charisma and flavor. This is the kind of episode to show someone after they have gotten used to the format and want a little bit of Chef history.

BINGING WITH BABISH

The YouTube cooking sensation is actually well known for putting together some of the recipes for the Chef film and showing them off to the world on his platform. It made sense to Favreau, therefore, to bring him onto his own show.

Not only is some excellent food made in the final episode of season 2, but there's also some interesting conversation about filming styles between the YouTube format and the kind of work that Favreau is involved in.

WOLFGANG PUCK

Wolfgang Puck's episode in season 3 kicks off that third installment of the show and is perhaps the 'foodiest' episode on this list. However, there's a reason that this episode will resonate with film and television fans more than most of the other more food involved installments.

That's because both Puck and Favreau make some really unique comparisons between the film and the food industry. It's clear they both respect one another's work, and the episode really brings together the concept of this whole show. It's a great episode to show any movie fan who is trying to understand what the series is all about.
