Katie Krause from Extra asked, "I have to know what is this watermelon diet?" Gabi burst out laughing and responded, describing it as a form of fasting. She said, "ok, so we do this thing. It's basically a watermelon fast, so your not actually fasting, but you're getting like something in your stomach." She continued, "I will do it every once in a while when I feel like I've been eating really bad."

Gabi emphasized that watermelon fasting isn't just beneficial for her physical appearance, as she said that it also helps her mood by reducing toxins in her body. Maybe some of Navarro College's competitors at Trinity Valley will try Gabi's trick. She knows that people often think fasting is a sketchy dieting method but she argues that it's "not something that's unhealthy." She further explained, "what watermelon does is it clears everything because it's mostly water." The diet is on-trend, as intermittent fasting has become increasingly popular, accompanied by increased hydration.

Gabi's fans love hearing her secrets. Whether she is flipping her body twenty feet above the ground or sharing her diet tricks, there's no doubt that the famous cheerleader has a devoted audience. The watermelon cleanse is also an interesting alternative to traditional fasting, or the pop culture-honored The Devil Wears Prada method of consuming one cube of cheese when one is about to faint. Whether Cheer fans are all in on the watermelon diet or not, they are definitely all in on Gabi.
