Chaos Walking trolls Tom Holland’s Cherry with a new poster. Having thoroughly established himself as a movie star with his performance as Peter Parker in the MCU, Holland is now ready to branch out into non-Marvel projects and prove himself as an actor with range and versatility.

Holland’s latest film Cherry is indeed a huge departure for the actor, as he plays a medic with PTSD who develops a drug addiction and turns to bank robbery after going into debt. Directed by the Russo Brothers of Avengers: Endgame fame, the film is being openly touted as a gritty drama that shows sides of Holland he didn’t get to express while playing Spider-Man. In a few months time, Holland will appear in another non-MCU project as he plays the lead alongside Daisy Ridley in the book adaptation Chaos Walking, directed by Doug Liman. Chaos Walking is set to arrive after a troubled production that included multiple delays.

With both Cherry and Chaos Walking poised to expand Holland’s acting reach beyond the realm of Peter Parker, the Twitter account The Noise took advantage of the hype for the former with a little light trolling that includes a deranged new poster that sends up the drenched-in-red look of some recently released posters for Cherry. See the tweets in the space below:

The Cherry-trolling Twitter account The Noise looks like a random account run by an insane person, but it's actually a promotional account affiliated with Chaos Walking. In the Chaos Walking story, the Noise is a phenomenon that allows people to hear each other’s thoughts as an endless stream of sounds and images – literally, an uninterrupted stream of noise (which might actually be a good description of Twitter itself). The trolling tweet from The Noise in fact comes on a day Holland fans have been looking forward to ever since the actor posted his own cryptic tweet promising something arriving on the present date. That big piece of news turned out to be the first trailer for Cherry.

Given the building hype for Cherry, it definitely seems like a good time to remind folks that Holland actually has another movie coming out in the near future. This is especially true given that there seems to be very little buzz about Chaos Walking, a YA fiction adaptation that ended up suffering a two-year delay due to reshoots and has all the earmarks of a bomb in the making. It seems strange to think that a film starring Holland and Ridley, actors who made names for themselves in huge franchises and as a result have large fanbases, could possibly fly under the radar but that indeed seems to be the case for Chaos Walking. It will be interesting to see if the film manages to make any noise at all when it finally releases after so many delays.
