With so many new character slots available, changing a character's appearance in Elder Scrolls Online might seem like a non-issue, but changing an existing character's look can make adventuring fresh again. Some games have many customizable features, and most times, they are set once players leave the character customization menu.

Elder Scrolls Online offers different ways to change a character's appearance that can require a bit of work to access but are worth it in the end for anyone in need of some variety. There is a well-known method to changing character appearances in Elder Scrolls Online, although some players might bypass some of the lesser-known ones due to cost, time, or because the change they're looking for doesn't fit one of the alternate methods. Here's every possible way to change a character's appearance in Elder Scrolls Online.

One quick method to change a character's appearance in Elder Scrolls Online is to change their race or name. To do this, players can get a Race Change Token, which costs 3,000 Crowns. If a player wants to change both their character's race and name, it costs 3,500 Crowns. Apart from this, players can also get separate items from the Style Parlor, including hair, adornments, markings, and more to freshen up their look. These are some of the more unfavorable methods, however. They are located in the Service Token section of the Crown Store.

Changing appearances in Elder Scrolls Online is no small task, and the more favorable methods still require players to spend a lot of Crowns. The easiest way to change appearance is to buy the Appearance Change Token in the Service Token menu listing in the Crown Store. Once the token gets bought, players must use the token on the character select screen. The Appearance Change Token will give players the ability to customize a character's gender, hair, markings, and more. The Token acts as an appearance reset and does not affect a character's race or their name - these require the other aforementioned Tokens.

The cost of an Appearance Change Token is much lower than the previous two tokens. Appearance Change Tokens cost only 1,000 Crowns each. Sales come and go all the time for different items and bundles in the Crown Store, so players should keep checking back when they are notified of a sale to get deals on Tokens.

Using an Appearance Change Token in Elder Scrolls Online will not affect a player's stats or change the appearance of their equipment. Players have to go to an Outfit Station to change the appearance of their best equipment and gear. Individual items, such as hairstyles, must be purchased through the Crown store first and changed in the Collections menu later.
