Tori Deal of The Challenge: Double Agents is responding to fan speculation around her recent breakup with her now ex-fiancé Jordan Wiseley. The two called off their engagement last month and now Tori is shutting down claims that she cheated on Jordan with her co-star, Fessy Shafaat.
Jordan and Tori were one of the last Challenge couples left when they competed together last season. While many couples were spawned on the long-running MTV series, Jordan and Tori were the only ones to pop the question on the air. Both were reality show veterans, with Jordan first being cast on The Real World: Portland back in 2013 and Tori being cast in Are You The One?, where cast members competed while searching for their perfect match. MTV brought the former couple together after they met while filming The Challenge. They were known for both being fierce competitors, but not letting the competition affect their romance. Their couple's feud with Cara Maria Sorbello and Paulie Calafiore made for reality TV gold. The two had plans of getting married privately with just their loved ones in attendance. But all that changed when they took to Instagram to announce their split early last month.
With their breakup announced right before The Challenge: Double Agents premiered, a recent episode where contestant Fessy admitted his crush for Tori left many fans wondering if that's what caused her breakup. As a result, Tori took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 5, to deny the cheating rumors. "Uhmmm... I see how this is all being edited... but just because Fessy admits he's attracted to me doesn't mean I cheated... I never cheated on Jordan. So everyone needs to chill out," Tori declared, as captured by E! News. "I just want you all to know that I'm mentally strong enough to handle all of this bulls--t." She went on to explain how her experience on reality television have helped her develop a thick skin to handle the negative criticism. "After 4 years of reality TV you grow some thick ass skin," she continued. "I know my truth and who I am."
The MTV star noted that she "could go deeper" about what happened, but acknowledged she doesn't "have anything to prove to people that already have their minds made up about me." The cheating rumors stirred into a frenzy after a teaser for the Wednesday episode of The Challenge showed Fessy admitting to being attracted to Tori. "I'm getting to know Tori and we honestly have a genuine connection in here," Fessy states. "In my rookie season, she was with Jordan the whole time so we never really got to speak. She's a very dope woman and, I mean, she's a very good looking woman." This is the first competition Tori has competed in on her own without Jordan since they started dating.
To add further fuel to the fire, fellow competitor Cory Wharton spoke of Tori and Fessy's flirtatious relationship in his confessional, "There's something going on between those two. I know that Tori's engaged but it's not looking good," he said. "My man Fessy's always been attracted to Tori and now you can see that they are definitely working together." The messy drama comes one month after Tori announced that she and Jordan are "going to be moving forward in separate ways," in an Instagram post. Jordan followed up Tori's message with one of his own, stating that, "Unfortunately, we weren’t able to escape the pressures that come with being in a very public relationship." No word on if Jordan believes the rumors or not.
