Fessy Shafaat made a name for himself on MTV's The Challenge for stirring the pot, and he recently called out franchise veteran Johnny Bananas for his supposed entitlement in The Challenge season 38. Fessy has not yet won a season of The Challenge, but he has been a consistent powerhouse in the daily challenges and in the elimination ring. Fessy and his partner on The Challenge: Ride or Dies, Moriah Jadea, won the mini-final, where Fessy didn't take kindly to Bananas' lackluster performance.

Bananas has been the face of The Challenge for years now, but Fessy has been rising in the ranks of stand-out competitors in the recent seasons. In an interview on MTV's Official Challenge Podcast, Fessy was asked about Bananas joking around and not completing the mini-final on The Challenge, to which Fessy said, "It's entitlement, man...they're just taking it for granted like it's their 20th season." Bananas and his partner, Nany Gonzalez, gave up on the puzzle portion of the mini-final. Fessy thought this proves his point, saying, "Why are they tapping out if they know anything could happen?...It just screams entitlement to me."

Fessy & Moriah Dominate The Challenge Season 38 Mini-Final

Fessy is always one to speak his mind, and he's usually able to back it up. When Fessy and Moriah won the mini-final, they were tasked with splitting up the duos in the game to create two separate teams, but Fessy was not pleased with this power. He explained, "I was really salty that they didn't let us throw in a team." Fessy and Moriah's victory left some other teams in the game shocked, as they underestimated Fessy and Moriah's ability in puzzles. Fessy took his chance to fire more shots at Bananas, saying, "You love to scream seven-time champ and rub it in people's faces...and you're not even in the top five, six pairs."

Fessy's brash attitude and tendency to speak his mind has made him one of the most controversial figures in the modern era of The Challenge. Fessy was even kicked off of The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies after an argument with fellow Big Brother competitor Josh Martinez. While some fans find Fessy's confident attitude to be frustrating, he brings an old-school feeling to The Challenge that is desperately needed in the newer seasons.

Fessy may not have been able to clinch his title of champion yet, but it seems that this season could be the one for him. While he and Moriah are no longer paired together, the pair absolutely dominated the mini-final over previous champions of The Challenge, which bodes well for his chances of winning the whole competition. If Fessy is able to keep the smack talk in his post-season interviews and out of the game, he could prove all his critics wrong. For now, fans will just have to see if the new format on The Challenge will help his game or completely destroy it.

The Challenge airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
