Warning: Contains spoilers for Chainsaw Man chapter 108.Chainsaw Man chapter 108 is hinting at the next big villain for the series. In chapter 108, Asa accidentally sliced Yuko to pieces with her Super-Strong Uniform Sword, very clearly putting her on the verge of death. As Asa struggled to think of something to do, a mysterious girl appeared before Asa and offered to save Yuko as a favor for her “little sister”.

The biggest takeaway from the appearance of the new character is Chainsaw Man hinting at its next big villain. The currently unnamed girl has the same eyes as Makima and refers to Yoru as her little sister, so that suggests that she’s not only a Devil, but one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Makima and Yoru’s roles in the story already made it clear that the Four Horsemen would be important to Shonen Jump's Chainsaw Man, and that’s likely to continue with the introduction of this new character.

Chainsaw Man’s Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse Explained

Makima and Yoru

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are Devils in Chainsaw Man who, much like the biblical versions, represent conquest, war, famine, and death. Not much is known about them as a group, but they were among the Devils who injured Pochita badly enough to force him out of Hell, so they can be considered among the strongest Devils in the series. This is supported by Makima, who serves as the Horseman of conquest as the Control Devil, being one of the strongest Devils in the story, and that will likely be explored further through both Yoru and the new character introduced in chapter 108.

Which Of The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse Is Chainsaw Man’s New Character?

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

The new character introduced in Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man is likely one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, so that begs the question of which Horseman she’ll be. Since the new character would be the third Horseman introduced in the story after Makima the Control Devil and Yoru the War Devil, it would make sense for her to be the Horseman of famine; this is further supported by her triangular earrings, which could represent the scales that the Horseman of famine is supposed to carry. However, since she appeared saying that she could save Yuko, she could also be the Horseman of death and have healing powers or some other ability revolving around life and death.

Thanks to a repeated eye design and her connection to Yoru the War Devil, it’s highly likely that Chainsaw Man’s newest character is another one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Whether she’s the Horseman of famine or the Horseman of death, it would still mean that the story is introducing its next big villain, in addition to setting up a chance to further explore Pochita’s history from before he met Denji. As of right now, there’s no way to know for certain if that’s the direction Chainsaw Man will be going in, but it hopefully won’t take long for the series to give a clearer idea of what’s going on.
