As one of the most anticipated anime set to premiere this year, fans of Denji and Chainsaw Man can't seem to get enough of its new trailer. As expected, in addition to a peek of the anime's eye-popping animation, the trailer also provides fans with new details about the anime, such as schedule dates, and cast members. One big surprise, easy to miss is that the trailer shows the anime will have twelve different ending songs.

This season of the anime will adapt the first part of Tatsuki Fujimoto's cult-favorite manga of the same name. Chainsaw Man tells the story of Denji, a teenager forced to repay the debts of his father to the Yakuza. Denji helps a Pochito, a little Devil dog he runs into, one ay. Pochito, is no ordinary Devil dog but rather an iteration of the Chainsaw Man, a fearsome devil who hunts other devils that are a danger to society. The manga was a hit, and it's expected to grow bigger than ever with its second part running and the new anime adaptation arriving soon.

At the end of the new Chainsaw Man trailer posted to Youtube, there's a list of the names of all the musicians who contributed songs to the series. What's interesting about the list, however, is its size. Indeed, twelve different singers or bands, are listed as contributing music, which is substantial for a single anime series. The reason so many musicians contributed to the series, it turns out, is due to the fact that each of the anime's twelve episodes will feature a different ending song. This is quite rare in anime. With music being such an integral part of the anime experience Studio MAPPA, the producers of the anime, are doing all they can to ensure its success with the fandom.

The Full List of Ending Songs for Chainsaw Man's Anime is Impressive

With some of the hottest singers and bands in Japan signing on to give their musical interpretation of that the episode's vibes, Studio MAPPA is showing it understands that while music may not be as important to anime's success as its story and animation, but having a great soundtrack that connects with the fans certainly helps set it apart. Indeed, it's a creatively influential group of musicians that includes a number of contributors, including Eve and Aimer, who worked with Studio MAPPA to scoring and produce hit songs for other anime. The full list of contributors includes:

  • "Katagiri 2-oku centimeter" by Maximum the Hormone
  • "ALL KINDS OF KISSES" by Ano
  • "Fight Song" by Eve
  • "Deep Down" by Aimer
  • "Rendezvous" by Kanaria
  • "In the Back Room" by Syudou
  • "Violence" by Queen Bee
  • "Time Left" by Zutomayo
  • "First death" by TK (from Ling tosite Sigure)
  • "Tablet" by Tooboe
  • "CHAINSAW BLOOD" by Vaundy
  • "DOGLAND" by People 1

If these songs are as addictive as Kenshi Yonezu's grittily buoyant opening theme, "Kick Back" which will remain the same for the duration of the series, then fans there will be even more for fans to interact with the anime in addition to the story and animation. To be sure, while a fan may not remember all the details of an anime, they will remember a "catchy" theme song, especially if it's from a musician they like. Judging from what's being offered in Denji's new anime, even the Chainsaw Man would give his seal of approval.

The Chainsaw Man anime will premiere on October 11, 2022, on Crunchyroll.
