Screen Rant has received an exclusive first look at a new trailer for the second season of Century: Age of Ashes. The latest update to the free-to-play dragon shooter is entitled The Fate of Dragons, and will introduce several promising features, including a new class and unique dragon species. This will be the dark fantasy game's fifth class overall, and is intended to help bring new lore into the title.

A trailer from developer Playwing has shown off exciting new details for Century: Age of Ashes' second season - which just released on March 21 - including the brand-new Thornweaver class, which specializes in controlling areas of the map with druid-esque nature powers.

Century: Age of Ashes' Thronweaver class brings with it new species of dragon that boast several variants, and a rework of the Hünavatn Lake map, a breakneck tour of which is shown in the trailer. Season 2's Dragon Pass also offers a slate of new rewards - customizations for the Throneweaver and older classes alike, unique weapons, XP boosts, and more.

Arguably the biggest standout in the latest Century: Age of Ashes season is the Thornweaver class, an Elf archetype known for being a fierce warrior. Not only will players have a new style of character to play with, but the addition of this new Century: Age of Ashes class will also offer a new perspective, as all the season's new lore acts are from their point of view. Thornweavers specialize in nature manipulation as well as what a press release describes as "area-controlled gameplay mechanics," and will be available through paid access.

Of course, a new Century: Age of Ashes class also means new species of dragons that are bound to them, and The Fate of Dragons will bring multiple, each with different variants. Dragons and accompanying customization items can be acquired through the in-game Dragon Pass, with a new leveling mechanic that will allow players to unlock different reward tiers. The location Hünavatn Lake has also become overgrown, providing a more lore-driven experience for players to explore.

From experiencing a different class to hatching new dragon eggs in Century: Age of Ashes, there will be ample new content for dragoneers to enjoy in The Fate of Dragons. This new trailer has shown that the Thornweaver's abilities will likely put a new twist on the game's dragoneering gameplay. Thankfully, with the update releasing earlier this week players won't have to wait to get their hands on everything Century: Age of Ashes has to offer this season.
