Ant Anstead, the host of the new Discovery+ series Celebrity IOU Joyride, has gone Instagram official with his new girlfriend actress Renee Zellweger. Before he began dating Renee, Ant was known for his relationship with Flip or Flop co-host Christina Haack. The former couple met in 2017, shortly after she had separated from her first husband, Tarek El Moussa. The two tied the knot just over a year after they started dating during an intimate ceremony in Newport Beach. Shortly after their wedding in 2019, Christina and Ant welcomed their first child together, Hudson.
In September 2020, two years after they got married and a year after their son was born, Christina and Ant officially announced that they were getting a divorce. Christina officially filed for divorce in November, and the divorce was finalized in June 2021. Around the time when the former couple finalized their divorce, Ant began his relationship with Renee Zellweger. Christina moved on as well, confirming that she was dating her new boyfriend, Joshua Hall, in July 2021.
On Sunday, Ant Anstead shared a selfie via Instagram (seen below) that also featured Renee Zellweger and his co-host Cristy Lee, to promote his new Discovery+ TV series. "It's finally here," the 42-year-old wrote in the caption, "The first episode of [Celebrity IOU Joyride] is available on [Discovery+] Monday the 23rd! And it's [with] the incredibly magical Renee Zellweger." Ant also encouraged his fans to see how he and his co-host helped "two amazing men that gave so much" to one of Renee's dearest friends. In the photo, Ant and the Oscar winner are snuggled up next to each other, with Cristy taking the picture, indicating that this was probably the first day when they met. The post comes two months after it was confirmed that Ant and Renee had begun a relationship.
Ant and Renee hit it off immediately after they met on the set of the show. A source close to the UK native told Us Weekly at the time, "He's excited about life and excited in general." The source also said that Ant's positive attitude was likely due to his budding romance with the actress and that he was "in a good spot in his life." Even though their relationship is fairly new, Ant and Renee have been progressing rather quickly. Earlier this month, they attended their first event together at the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana, California, dressing up for the Radford Motors Gala. "They each feel like they've finally met their soulmate," an insider said of their relationship, adding that they are "really cherishing their time together."
One of the most unexpected things to come out of 2021 was Celebrity IOU Joyride star Ant Anstead starting a relationship with actress Renee Zellweger. Even though it was out of the left-field, the pair appears to be a perfect match. It looks like fans will potentially be seeing Ant at an Oscar ceremony in the near future.
