Celebrity Big Brother season 3 contestant Teddi Mellencamp was the first houseguest to be evicted this season, and she revealed a secret deal that she made, which did not air. Teddi, the former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, became the target of the Head of Household, Miesha Tate, when she came in second during the first HOH competition. As they hung from the ceiling with their feet in stirrups and holding on to champagne bottles, Teddi tried to make a deal with Miesha to keep her safe, but Miesha said that it was too early to make that kind of deal. Teddi dropped anyway. Miesha then planned to backdoor Teddi by keeping her off of the chopping block, which might lead to her not being able to play in the veto competition. When Miesha told Mirai Nagasu her plan, Mirai warned Teddi.

Teddi then told Todrick Hall what Mirai had told her, and Todrick informed Miesha that Teddi knew about the plan. Miesha then made a deal with Teddi that she would not target her for the week. However, after Carson Kressley won the veto and Miesha had to choose a replacement nominee, she told Teddi that she was not going to honor their deal and ended up betraying her by nominating her for eviction. A glimmer of hope appeared when the Mon Won twist was unleashed in the house, replacing the other nominee, Mirai, with Todd Bridges. However, Teddi did not prevail, and she was backdoored, evicted by a vote of 5-3.

In an interview with Parade, Teddi revealed that she made a secret deal with Lamar Odom to keep herself in the game. She said that she thinks she could have had his vote if Mirai had stayed on the block with her instead of Todd. She shared, "I think I had turned Lamar." Teddi explained that the deal was that if she won Head of Household, she would give him the suite. The HOH room consists of a luxurious bed and a private bathroom, a huge step up from the cramped living quarters of the rest of the house.

Lamar Odom

Teddi continued, "So [Lamar] was so excited about that. Because he’s so tall that he wasn’t fitting on the beds. So I was like, 'Listen, I know you love your private bathroom time. You can have my suite if I win Head of Household.'" Teddi also shared that she and Lamar had been playing games like Spades and cornhole together, saying, "And I was winning. So I know he knew I was a true competitor. I think I could have gotten him." However, once Mirai was replaced with Todd, Lamar chose to keep him in the house instead of Teddi because he was not in Teddi's alliance.

Teddi's revelation that she had a deal with Lamar might not have meant much for her own game, but it shows that Lamar might be easily swayed in the game. In the last episode, he told new HOH Chris Kirkpatrick that he would help him achieve his goals as the leader of the house. They are in the Athletes alliance together, so it makes sense that he would be loyal to Chris, but Lamar did not offer many ideas of his own. Teddi's secret deal with Lamar gives some interesting insight into Lamar's gameplay.
