Celebrity Big Brother season 3 star Shanna Moakler had a very rocky marriage with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker that included several physical altercations, verbal confrontations, criminal arrests, and a nasty divorce. Over the years, Shanna reinvented herself several times in the public eye throughout her career in Hollywood. After growing to fame for competing in the Miss USA 1995 pageant, Shanna starred as an actress in the series Pacific Blue and made several cameos in different movies and TV shows.
As a successful model, Shanna had a few high-profile relationships with certain famous men. In 1997, she had a fling with rockstar Billy Idol and then started dating boxer Oscar De La Hoya. Shanna and Oscar got engaged in 1998 and had a daughter, Atiana Cecilia, in 1999. However, that relationship came to a disastrous end in 2000 when Oscar was spotted by the press with another woman and Shanna filed a $62 million palimony lawsuit against him. She then dated actor Dennis Quaid in 2001. After that brief relationship, Shanna got romantically involved with Travis Barker and had two kids with him: Landon Asher in 2003 and Alabama Luella in 2005.
Shanna Punched Paris Hilton In The Face
Unfortunately, it didn't take long for things to go sour between Shanna and Travis. In October 2006, People reported that Shanna punched Paris Hilton in the face after confronting her at a nightclub amid rumors that Travis had been seeing the Hilton heir. They both filed police reports accusing each other of battery. Paris claimed that Shanna punched her in the jaw, whereas Shanna claimed that Paris shoved her down the stairs. Travis and Shanna filed for divorce in 2006 but seemingly reconciled in 2007. By 2008, though, the Blink-182 drummer claimed they were officially no longer together.
Shanna Was Almost With Travis At His Plane Crash
As of 2021, Kourtney Kardashian has been helping her fiancé Travis overcome his fear of flying on airplanes. Travis' fear started out in October 2019 when he experienced a traumatic airplane accident that almost killed him. At the time, Shanna told Fox News that she was very close to being on that plane with Travis. Alas, Shanna said: "I had this gnarly feeling and said 'I don't think we should fly together anymore.'" Though their relationship had been on the rocks for a while, they put their differences aside for Travis to recover from that traumatic experience.
Shanna & Travis Were Both Arrested Over Mutual Death Threats
In December 2014, police were called to Travis and Shanna's joint home in Los Angeles after a verbal argument between them escalated to criminal matters where they reportedly threatened to kill one another (via TMZ). Both Travis and Shanna were handcuffed and taken to the police station, but the night ended with neither of them filing criminal charges against each other.
Shanna Badmouthed Kim & Kourtney Kardashian
Ever since Kourtney and Travis got together in 2021, Shanna has been badmouthing the Kardashian sisters on a regular basis. Shanna has claimed that Travis cheated on her with Kim while they were still together. She has also criticized Travis' relationship with Kourtney numerous times. It wouldn't be surprising if Shanna opens up about her feelings toward the Kardashians over the course of her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother 3.
