Many fans are curious to learn how long Celebrity Big Brother season 3 will last and how many episodes CBB3 will have in total. Aside from the flagship Big Brother series that has been running for 23 seasons, CBS aired CBB1 in 2018 and CBB2 in 2019. Fans expected season 3 to happen in February 2020, but that was the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, so producers decided to skip that year.

Nonetheless, CBS pulled off Big Brother 22: All-Stars in the summer of 2020 and scheduled Big Brother 23 for the summer of 2021, which made fans hopeful that Celebrity Big Brother 3 could also take place earlier in 2021. Alas, the season was once again not greenlit for that year, prompting a lot of speculation within the fandom that the CBB spinoff would be - or had already been - canceled. Thankfully, though, the network has finally brought back Celebrity Big Brother 3 in 2022.

CBS has scheduled 15 episodes for Celebrity Big Brother season 3. The season has premiered on Wednesday, February 2 and will end on Wednesday, February 23. Therefore, this season will be 21 days long. This is a slightly shorter period of time than previous seasons. For context, Celebrity Big Brother 1 had 13 episodes and ran for 26 days. In turn, Celebrity Big Brother 2 had 13 episodes and ran for 29 days. And yet, it should be noted that despite the shorter length of time that the CBB3 contestants will stay inside the house, season 3 will feature more episodes than the first two seasons.

Dedicated viewers know that regular seasons of Big Brother are much longer than the Celebrity seasons. BB10 was the shortest season in history, at 71 days long. However, modern-day regular BB seasons are mostly 99 days long, such as seasons 18, 20, and 21. But given that celebrities typically have busy schedules, it isn't likely that they'd want to commit to living in the Big Brother house for three months. With that said, 20ish days is a much smoother time period for famous houseguests to commit to. This is also the reason why CBB seasons only feature a cast of 11 contestants rather than the usual 16 players who are cast in regular seasons.

Prior to the grand premiere, Julie Chen teased that CBB3 will move faster than ever when it comes to the competition. For instance, the host noted that viewers should expect "at least two evictions" every week. Hopefully, these Celebrity Big Brother contestants are ready to play the game and fight to get to the end.
