Celebrity Big Brother 3 contestant, Chris Kirkpatrick, claimed that his fellow houseguest, Todrick Hall, personally insulted him before his eviction. Although Chris initially aligned himself with Miesha Tate and Todrick, he grew tired of their domination of the game. Chris even considered backdooring Todrick when he was the Head of Household, but then decided against it. When Miesha won the next HOH competition, Chris decided to shift his allegiance to the other side of the house when Carson Kressley and Cynthia Bailey were nominated by Miesha for eviction. When his final 2 partner, Shanna Moakler, won the Power of Veto competition, Chris recognized that they now had the opportunity to shift the power in the house. They decided to defy Miesha's plan to evict Carson by saving him with the veto. However, this plan had one flaw: Miesha then put Chris on the chopping block in Carson's place because he betrayed her, and Chris essentially backdoored himself.

Before the eviction, Todrick had become convinced that he was Chris' next target. He played a huge role in the plan to evict Chris. After the eviction, Chris watched his goodbye messages from the houseguests, and Todrick did not hold back. Todrick said, "Chris Kirkpatrick, I fought for you every single week. I never turned my back on you. I don't know at what point you decided to go on a smear campaign against me, but I made it my sole mission to make sure that I lasted in this house longer than you did. And, whoomp, there it is. Bye, bye, Chris Kirkpatrick." While the message was played, Chris nodded his head, and then said, "Respect." When Julie Chen Moonves asked him why he said that, Chris explained that he understood why Todrick thought that he had turned against him, but in his head, he was not breaking their deal. He said that he was not turning people against Todrick, but he had heard that Todrick had turned against him. Chris admitted that his biggest mistake was listening to people, rather than going right to Todrick and asking him about it, but he said that he did not ask him because he knew that Todrick would deny it. Chris concluded by saying, "It is what it is. I love Todrick. He's a great guy, and I wish him luck."

However, in an interview with TooFab, Chris claimed that Todrick had personally insulted him before the eviction. Chris said that he was okay with Todrick's goodbye message because "it's how he wants to play. It's who he is." He then revealed that earlier that day Todrick had insulted him by saying that he is "a horrible father and I'm gonna embarrass my child and things like that. So I didn't put it past him. I'm sorry he feels that way." Chris said that it hurts to know that someone could play the game like that, but he at least knows that he himself was honest and sincere about everything. He said that Todrick even came after him for that, saying, "don't try to play this high and mighty, honest game" and "you're a dirty player and a piece of crap." Chris admitted that he was hurt to hear that from Todrick, but he said that he kept his focus and did not let the house break him.

Chris confessed that if Todrick had said these things outside of the house, he might have handled it differently. He said, "I didn't let anybody in there break me because, I know outside those walls, if that were on the street and he said something like that, it would be a lot different, but it isn't." Chris also said that he does not like people that play the victim all the time, and that, although Todrick let the houseguests know "many, many times that he's bullied for him being gay or for him being Black," Chris never saw any of that in the house. He said, "If anything, it made me feel more comfortable. But, you know, I don't like when people use that as a bargaining chip or in the game and especially accusing me of being some stereotypical, straight white guy, that's like this evil, evil person."

Chris did play an honest game, as viewers saw him struggling when Miesha asked Chris if he would vote out Carson, and he did not answer her directly because he did not want to lie to her. This ultimately led to him sacrificing his own game to help his friends gain the upper hand. Todrick may not have respected this move because it hurt his own game, but at least Chris was honest. If Todrick really did insult Chris, then it is very sad because the game should never become personal. Perhaps some day Chris and Todrick can mend their relationship.
