With Dancing With The Stars season 31 right around the corner, the cast has finally been announced, and there are some big-name celebrities. The celebrities taking on the ballroom this season come from all different backgrounds. The season will include reality stars, a current The Bachelorette star, singers, comedians, and even Tik Tok stars.

A lot of changes are coming to the ballroom this month. For the first time ever, Dancing With The Stars season 31 will leave ABC and begin streaming on Disney+. This will be the first-ever live show to air on a streaming platform. Since each episode will still air live, many changes will have to be made to the format. With the elimination of commercial breaks, the set changes will have to be a lot faster than before.

The official cast list for Dancing With The Stars season 31 was announced on Thursday, September 8, just 11 days before the season premiere. The day before the big reveal, DWTS teased fans on Good Morning America by announcing that not only will Tik Tok sensation Charli D'Amelio will be dancing in the ballroom this season, but she will also be competing against her mother, Heidi D'Amelio. The mother-daughter duo both have dancing backgrounds which is always a major controversy in DWTS. Joining the DWTS also is The Bachelorette's Gabby Windey, as well as singer/ songwriter and former American Idol winner Jordan Sparks. Country singer and entrepreneur Jessie James Decker will be competing in DWTS season 31 as well.

Dancing with the Stars elimination

For the first time in nearly 10 years, a Jersey Shore star will give ballroom dancing a try. Vinny Guadagnino will follow in the footsteps of his former roommates Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation Sorrentino" as he competes on DWTS season 31. Also from the East Coast, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has been cast for the new season. Deaf actor Daniel Durant, best known for his role in Switched at Birth, will also be competing this season. Perhaps he will follow in Nyle DiMarco's, producer of Netflix's Deaf U, footsteps who won DWTS season 22. Other stars that will be seen in the ballroom this season include news anchor Sam Champion, Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Joseph Baena, Sex and the City star Jason Lewis, 90210 star Trevor Donovan, drag performer Shangela, actress Selma Blair, Charlie's Angels actress Cheryl Ladd, and lastly, comedian, actor and singer Wayne Brady.

Since the announcement, the professional dancers have all begun sharing photos and videos with their new partners on social media. Having a good relationship with their partner is crucial to make it far in the competition. The Dancing With The Stars season 31 will premiere on Disney+ on Monday, September 19, 2022.
