Silvally is a special man-made Pokemon that returns in Pokemon: Sword & Shield. Here’s how players can find their own in the Galar region. Pokemon: Sword & Shield is the first mainline entry in the series where not every previous Pokemon can be transferred over to. Only 400 Pokemon exist in the game, cutting the Pokédex by more than half. The game didn’t play favorites either, as fan favorites like Bulbasaur and Squirtle were initially unable to exist in the game. Although, certain Pokemon were able to slip through the cracks, regardless of their region original. Here’s how players can find a Silvally in Pokemon: Sword & Shield.

Type: Null and Silvally were previously introduced in the seventh generation’s Pokemon Sun and Moon. The trainers rival of this region had developed a strong bond with Type: Null and would try to take the player down at every possible turn. Type: Null itself is a combination of the bits and pieces of other Pokemon put together, making it a non-natural Pokemon. Pokemon like these have existed since the first generation as the case with Mewtwo, a Pokemon that was genetically created from the DNA of the legendary Pokemon, Mew. Although, how could a trainer possibly find a Type: Null in Pokemon: Sword & Shield if only one of these creatures exists in Alola. Fortunately, it’s a fairly simple process. Here’s how players can find their very own Silvally in Pokemon: Sword & Shield.

How To Get Silvally in Pokemon Sword & Shield

Pokemon Sword and Shield Type Null and Silvally

Silvally is the evolved form of Type: Null, meaning trainers will need to find Type: Null to begin with. Players will only be able to do this after winning the Pokemon League and becoming the Champion. After beating the game, head over to the Battle Tower facility. On the inside to the left, a trainer will be with a Type: Null. Speak with the trainer and they will give the player Type: Null as a prize for being Champion. Now to evolve this Pokemon to Silvally, the player will need to raise up its happiness stat. The player can do this by walking around with it in the front of its party, making sure it doesn’t faint in battle, giving it a Soothe Bell, and playing with it in Pokemon Camp. Type: Null will evolve after leveling up once with Max happiness.

There are over 800+ Pokemon in the series. Trying to collect all of these creatures is a monumental task that will take players weeks or months to complete. The game also recently received the first half of its paid DLC with the Isle of Armor. This new location provides new Pokemon for the trainer to encounter, over 100 older Pokemon from previous regions, and a new gigantic wild area. The second half of the DLC is scheduled to release this Fall. Until then, players can enjoy exploring the Isle of Armor and uncovering all its secrets.
