The popular television series Who Do You Think You Are? is returning after a four year hiatus, and six celebrities have been announced as its season 11 stars. The show follows the journeys of celebrities as they research their genealogy. As they trace their family trees, they travel to locations in the United States and all over the world, in order to piece together the stories of their ancestors, with the help of historians, genealogists, and other experts.

Who Do You Think You Are? premiered on March 5, 2010 on NBC, where it ran for three seasons, until it moved to TLC. It aired for seven more seasons on that channel, but now will return to NBC for season 11. The series is executive produced by Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky. The first season told the stories of the ancestry of Lisa, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Emmitt Smith, Brooke Shields, Susan Sarandon, and Spike Lee. It has since starred dozens of other celebrities who want to find out more about their families' origins.

Who Do You Think You Are? is a critically acclaimed fan favorite. The stories are often genuinely emotional and moving, as the celebrities learn about their loved ones and discover information about the lives of ancestors they never knew they had. The Emmy-nominated series has traveled all around the world to tell these stories. The show features craftspeople who are skilled in different media. They compete to be named the "Master Maker" and win the $100,000 prize.

Billy Porter

Billy Porter is an incredibly talented actor and singer who has appeared in many Broadway shows, and won the 2013 Tony Award for his role as Lola in Kinky Boots. The following year, for that show, he also won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. He has released several other albums, and performed in many concerts. Billy was the first gay Black man to be nominated (and win) a lead acting category at the 2019 Emmy Awards, for his role on the television series, Pose. In 2020, he was included on the prestigious Time list of The 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Zachary Quinto

A critically acclaimed star of stage and screen, Zachary is known for his television roles on Heroes and American Horror Story: Asylum, for which he received an Emmy nomination. He also appeared as Spock in several Star Trek films. Zachary also has many theater credits to his name, including The Glass Menagerie and The Boys in the Band on Broadway.

Bradley Whitford
