Carrie-Anne Moss returns to the Trinity role in 2022's The Matrix 4, but here's what she's been up to since 2003's The Matrix Revolutions. It seems safe to say most fans never expected another Matrix movie to happen. The 2003 Matrix sequels seemed to wrap up the franchise's story fairly conclusively, killing off Trinity and Keanu Reeves' Neo along the way. Yet, The Matrix was unable to stay buried for good, with both Trinity and Neo resurrected somehow for Matrix 4, and original co-director Lana Wachowski returning to the helm.

While there's no question that Trinity is Moss' signature role, she's by no means faded away from Hollywood in the nearly 17 years since she last played the leather-clad character. Moss has remained very active in both TV and movies, playing both leading and supporting roles, and just generally elevating any project she chooses to join the cast of. She may not have the post-Matrix career of Reeves, but she's still done very well for herself.

Most Matrix fans are probably at least aware that Moss earned raves for her portrayal of icy lawyer Jeri Hogarth on Marvel's Jessica Jones and some of its surrounding series, but that's by no means the extent of her work since 2003. Here's what Carrie-Anne Moss has done since The Matrix Revolutions.

Carrie-Anne Moss' first film role after The Matrix Revolutions was in 2004's Suspect Zero, which stars Aaron Eckhart as an FBI agent hunting a serial killer who kills other serial killers. Moss played his FBI partner, Fran Kulok. In 2006's Fido, set in an alternate 1950s in which zombies have become domesticated, Moss plays Helen Robinson, who buys the titular zombie for her family. In 2007's Disturbia, a modern take on Rear Window, Moss plays Julie, the mom to Shia LaBeouf's character, who comes to believe their neighbor is a murderer. Moving on to 2008, Moss played Kelly Hanson in the star-studded drama Fireflies in the Garden, alongside Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe, and Julia Roberts.
