Below Deck's Captain Sandy Yawn has always left viewers with mixed emotions, as some love her, but others loathe her, and fans of the nautical series think that season 10 hasn't shown her in a good light. Captain Sandy is known for her go-getter attitude, which often comes across as micromanaging. Viewers can't help but feel that the Bravo star should have stayed in the Mediterranean, instead of jumping ship to the Caribbean.

Since Captain Lee Rosbach revealed that he had some medical issues to deal with, Below Deck's Captain Sandy has taken over. Even though she is often interfering in crew disputes, Captain Sandy has always been adamant about training the yachting world's up and comers, in the hopes of educating the more inexperienced crew members. Since joining the St. David, drama involving Captain Sandy has seemed overwhelming. She definitely keeps an eye on her stews and deckhands. Even though her advice comes from a place of love, the Colorado native often rubs viewers the wrong way.

Below Deck Fans Aren't Impressed

Below Deck viewers took to a Reddit thread to vent. On a thread started by Automoderator, they aired grievances about Captain Sandy's favoritism this past week. To the surprise of most, Captain Sandy butted heads with her chief stew Fraser Olender, after she felt that the interior team wasn't pulling their weight. It didn't help Captain Sandy's mood that she heard Alissa Humber talking badly about her favoring the deck team. One thread participant wrote, "i have no dog in this fight. i just want chaos." Other followers believed that Captain Sandy was making a mountain out of a molehill, noting that she decided to, "completely destabilize" her best worker.

Is Below Deck's Captain Sandy Honorable

Captain Sandy's transition to the new show hasn't been smooth and seamless. Since Captain Sandy took over on Below Deck, she has found herself involved in two major fights. The first was with Captain Lee, who felt that she should have asked him about firing Camille Lamb. In her defense, Captain Sandy stated that she did reach out via a courtesy call, noting that Camille had been let go as a mutiny almost took place. She has also found herself head to head with her chief stew, Fraser, who shared that he had never been so, "sickened" by a boss before, after she called his work ethic into question.

Below Deck followers have often questioned Captain Sandy's motives when it comes to encouraging the younger crew. Viewers can't help but feel that, while attempting to rebuild people, she usually tries to break their spirits first. Viewers believe that it is, "ironic" that Captain Sandy wrote a book on leadership called, Be the Calm or Be the Storm, but doesn't always come across as the best leader out on the high seas. Whether she's loved or hated, it doesn't look like Captain Sandy is going anywhere.
