Captain Marvel Gets Twitter Emojis (But None For Jude Law)

Captain Marvel gets special Twitter emojis but there's no Jude Law or any of the characters he's rumored to play in the flick. Dubbed to be a devout Kree warrior, the identity of the actor's character in the next MCU installment remains a secret, further fueling rumors about who he might be in the movie. Sadly, the latest set of marketing materials provide no clues that will help fans finally decode his mysterious role.

Set to introduce Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel will be a period piece set in 1995, paving the way for fans to see both Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) while they're still young agents working for S.H.I.E.L.D.. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the film will tackle the Kree-Skrull war and how this factors in the MCU's history as well as the headlining character's own personal arc. Not much is known regarding specific plot details and Marvel Studios seems to want to keep it that way. They barely reveal anything in their promo materials, and that includes this latest set of Twitter emojis.

While the titular hero and Nick Fury get their respective emojis, as well as Goose the Cat, Jude Law's still-unnamed character doesn't get seem to have one. What's more interesting is that neither Mar-Vell or Yon-Rogg - two characters many believe to be roles the British actor could play in the film - don't have emojis either. Check out the latest selection of emojis for the upcoming MCU flick below:

Captain Marvel Twitter Emoji No Jude Law

The mystery surrounding the role Law is playing in the film gains more interest by the day as Captain Marvel's release slowly inches near. With less than two months left before it hit theaters all over the globe, fans expect to learn more about the movie's narrative through various marketing materials, but it's curious that Marvel Studios is saving the big identity reveal for the film itself. Aside from Law, Annette Benning's character also remains unnamed although the public has seen the both of them in the last two trailers for the flick.

At this point, with Marvel Studios tending to stick closely to their character's origins story from the comic books, it's safe to assume that Captain Marvel will feature the character Mar-Vell in one way or another. Who's playing the character is another conversation with some fans subscribing to theories that it could be a gender-swapped version in Benning while Law takes on the role of Yon-Rogg. Others, however, like to stick with the initial assumption that Law will play Mar-Vell. Regardless of what the case may be, one thing is for sure - there's a big twist coming up with Law's character and it could ultimately become the subplot the changes the course of Danvers' story.
