Brie Larson had an emotional experience on the Captain Marvel ride at Disneyland Paris' Avengers Campus. As an actress of various accolades, including an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Emmy, Larson ventured into the realm of superheroes in 2019, starring as the titular character a.k.a. Carol Danvers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Captain Marvel. Similar to other MCU films, Captain Marvel reached box office records and received generally favorable reviews.

Upon the overall success of the MCU franchise, Disney took it upon themselves to craft MCU-themed lands at their theme parks. First officially opening as a "land" at Disney California Adventure, the area ended up opening about a year later in June 2021, after having been announced as Avengers Campus about a year before. Meanwhile, the Paris version of Avengers Campus was in development, and it opened in July 2022. The Avengers Campus at Hong Kong Disneyland has been in development since 2016, with openings of attractions, entertainment, and more rolling out in phases. It is set to be completed sometime in 2023.

Now, Larson has uploaded a video to her YouTube channel, chronicling her visit trip to Disneyland Paris for the opening of the theme park's Avengers Campus last month. In the video, Larson explores the campus, meets cast members, gets excited over Captain Marvel merchandise, meets up with her The Marvels co-star Iman Vellani, and rides the Avengers Assemble: Flight Force rollercoaster, which centers on a story about Larson's Captain Marvel and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). Larson is blown away by the work on the ride, just going through the line. When she later talks about her reaction to it all, she describes the emotional experience she had, saying "I was in a mixture of just like awe and crying and screaming and surviving." Larson continuously proves herself to be one of the MCU's biggest fans and promoters. She was at the opening of the Avengers Campus in California, and now she can check off attending the opening of the campus in Paris, too. Further, Larson got to express enthusiasm for Disney overall on her trip, as she shared how she grew up going to Disneyland and how it's one of her favorite places on earth. The fact that she was so blown away and got emotional on the Captain Marvel-centric ride is completely understandable. It must be pretty cool to see your own character be amplified at a place like Disneyland.

Along with the full opening of the Avengers Campus at Hong Kong Disneyland, other exciting things are in store for MCU fans in the near future. The full season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be out by October and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is premiering in November, wrapping up Phase Four of the MCU. And for Captain Marvel fans, in particular, The Marvels, will premiere in July 2023, and center on Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau, as the third film of the MCU's Phase Five.
