It is no secret that Captain Marvel is perhaps the strongest superhero in the entire Marvel catalog, and one fan-made animation puts her raw power on full display–proving that Carol needs her own animated series immediately.Carol Danvers became Captain Marvel after she unlocked the full potential of her latent powers that manifested due to her Kree heritage on her mother’s side. Those powers include flight, photon blasts, and the ability to create a full-body energy shield (which makes her practically invulnerable), just to name a few. Recently, Captain Marvel joined the ranks of the live-action superheroes in the MCU where she was able to show off her immense power by going up against the likes of Ronan the Accuser and his armies, and even the Mad Titan himself, Thanos. While those feats were epic, they don’t compare to the surging energy and raw power Captain Marvel exhibits in this animated short.Related: Even Captain Marvel's Strength Can't Match Avengers' New Superhuman

A Captain Marvel Animated Series Would Compliment Her Epic Powers the Best

In a Tweet by Animator Bruce, the user/animation artist posted a video they made featuring Captain Marvel flying through space, taking down enemy spaceships with her incredible speed and unparalleled power. The animation itself is immediately striking, with clean movements, impressive colors and shading, and epic visuals. When Captain Marvel shoots the final photon blast of the video, one’s jaw cannot help but drop from witnessing the sheer magnitude of concentrated, destructive energy being released by the character–which is perfectly captured by the animation.

This video is akin to clips from other popular action/adventure animated series such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and even Dragon Ball Z, but with a style that is unique to this specific artist. More than just being a fantastic animated short itself, this fan-made video shines a light on why Captain Marvel needs her own animated series. While her live-action escapades were as incredible as they are in the comics, there is a certain level of impossibility associated with her powers and movements–something almost indescribable that can only truly be attained through animation. There is a reason why the other two examples, Avatar and Dragon Ball, failed when they got live-action adaptations–some things just can’t be translated using real actors. Luckily, Captain Marvel doesn’t have that problem to such an extreme degree as her MCU adaptation is a brilliant and accurate representation of the character, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t flourish in the realm of animation–perhaps even more so than in the comics or MCU.

Whatever incarnation of Captain Marvel is the best–from comic and live-action to animation–one thing is clear: a Captain Marvel cartoon would be undeniably awesome, and this fan-made animation proves it.
