In a brand new Captain Marvel cosplay from Morgana Ignis (@IgnisTwote), the corrupted version of Carol Danvers gets a stunning comic-accurate ensemble that brings the twisted hero to life. In current Marvel Comics stories, Captain Marvel is still dealing with the evil threat of Vox Supreme. However, when the terrifying villain first nearly defeated and corrupted her, he gave her a sinister new suit in the process.

During Kelly Thompson and Lee Garbett's Captain Marvel series from earlier this year, Carol Danvers found herself face-to-face against Vox Supreme. The Super-Inhuman was merged with parts of the Kree Supreme Intelligence, creating a monster who wanted to rule the universe. Vox Supreme was hellbent on stealing the powers of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and captured Captain Marvel to help enact his plan. He said if Carol Danvers didn't bring him the bodies of the Avengers, he was going to detonate a series of bombs located at Kree Refugee camps on Earth. Vox Supreme gave her a suit to help monitor her adventures - but Captain Marvel eventually outsmarted the supervillain and defeated him until his most recent return.

Morgana Ignis (@IgnisTwote) shared her take on Captain Marvel's dark Vox Supreme-corrupted suit on her Twitter account. The look (with the suit coming from @CastleCorsetry) is comic-accurate, as it features numerous details from Captain Marvel's most twisted look. The black suit is accompanied by red details, including the star-like logo on her chest. It also features a red sash, as well as fingerless gloves. Completing the fantastic look is a blonde wig.

It's fun to see cosplayers like Ignis are doing their own takes on Captain Marvel's most recent comic book looks. The Vox Supreme suit was one of the darkest moments for the hero, but Carol Danvers eventually earned the victory by outsmarting the villain. It's a cool look deserving of awesome cosplays like Ignis' costume. It will be neat to see if more cosplayers adapt Captain Marvel's recent alternate costumes, like the magical ensemble she wore as she tried to learn magic and stop the villain, Ove.

For those wanting to learn more about Captain Marvel's darkest suit, the Vox Supreme arc is collected in Captain Marvel volume 3 by Kelly Thompson and Lee Garbett. The cosplay perfectly captures Carol Danvers' most sinister costume and is perfectly timed with Vox's return currently underway in Captain Marvel's ongoing series at Marvel Comics.
