Warning! Spoilers for The Marvels #1 by Marvel Comics below.

Captain America just received a new armor from Iron Man and Doctor Strange that might be his coolest upgrade yet. In The Marvels #1, Steve Rogers is in space planning for his next move on a mission and makes a death-defying jump from outside of orbit onto Earth - only made possible by armor created by two of Marvel's smartest Avengers.

Iron Man has a long history of creating high-tech armors for his fellow Marvel heroes. Tony Stark has built everything from suits specifically designed to fit the Fantastic Four, giant mech suits capable of fighting giant Kaiju-like battles, and even a suit originally created for War Machine that ended up in the hands of the Punisher. However, in a new story from Marvel Comics showcasing some of the most amazing adventures over multiple decades, Captain America just debuted a new suit featuring upgrades from both Iron Man and Doctor Strange, which is not only extremely powerful but incredibly impressive.

In The Marvels #1 by Kurt Busiek, Yildiray Cinar, Richard Isanova, and Alex Ross, the story takes readers across different time periods in the Marvel Universe, spanning from the 1940s to the present day. In one snippet from a more modern time, Captain America is aboard a Wakandan spaceship alongside Zarala, getting ready to deploy from above Earth. He jumps from the ship onto Earth in a new armor which prevents him from burning up in the atmosphere once he reaches terminal velocity. Heading for a dome covering the Republic of Siancong, Rogers uses a powerful blast to create a hole and get inside.

The blast which Rogers uses to break through the dome was created by Doctor Strange, as Captain America's arm glows with a magical enhancement. Once he successfully makes it through the dome, Captain America's new armor detaches itself from his body and a glider is deployed. The new armor allows him to survive a jump from space, makes it possible to break a massive barrier, and dispersed itself when needed.

The new armor is what ultimately helps Captain America burst through the dome and come face-to-face with the villainous Lady Lotus. Once inside, he calls for his fellow Avengers (via teleportation) to confront her as a team. While Iron Man and Doctor Strange often butt heads about their individual smarts and egos, the two managed to build Captain America his coolest armor to date which was instrumental to complete his current mission. It's amazing what's possible when two super geniuses actually work together. The Marvels #1 is in stores now.
