The Forest Spirit skin for Call of Duty: Warzone's Operator Grinch has been found to turn players invisible at certain distances, once more sparking discussion of pay-to-win advantages in the free-to-play title. Pay-to-win concerns continue to crop up in relation to Warzone, with Operator Roze's all-black Rook skin recently sitting at the center of a similar controversy.

Roze's Rook attire makes the character difficult to spot, especially in darker environments. The skin's lack of color and reflective components notably drew the ire of players following its use in the $250,000 Twitch Rivals tournament. Its exclusive availability in the Season 5 Battle Pass lends further credence to the claim that the Rook skin for Roze is a pay-to-win element. Now another purchasable item is under fire for the unfair advantages it provides.

For 1,800 COD Points, Warzone players can purchase the Eloko Bundle that boasts a Legendary Ghillie Suit skin. The skin, dubbed Forest Spirit, applies to Operator Grinch, who effectively becomes invisible from specific ranges. YouTuber Scop3s_ spotted the glitch and created a lengthy video dedicated to his find, which then made the rounds on Reddit due to a post from FistofSven. Based on the YouTuber's findings, the suit's invisibility only kicks in at certain distances. Wearers of the Forest Spirit suit are invisible to players who aren't aiming down the sights when the two stand 34 meters apart. When a player does aim down the sights, the suit becomes invisible at a distance of 55 meters. With 4x ADS at 125 meters away, only the Grinch's gun and head are visible.

This seems to be the first time anyone has noticed the Forest Spirit skin's invisibility glitch. As such, some wonder if it's an issue that surfaced due to a patch, similar to the recent resurgence of the infinite stim glitch. Since there are players who will undoubtedly exploit the invisibility bug, here's to hoping developer Raven Software is able to deploy the necessary fix sometime soon.

Unlike Roze's Rook skin, fans aren't calling for Raven and Activision to remove Grinch's Forest Spirit skin from Warzone. It's probably because this particular situation with Grinch is a glitch that needs fixing, whereas the all-black Rook attire serves as a design choice. How the companies plan to tackle either of these problems presently remains unknown. At the very least, developers have been good about addressing the more egregious issues fairly quickly, evidenced by the rate at which the DMR 14 was nerfed on more than one occasion.
