With 3 maps and 14 perks, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the kind of game that never gets boring. It's also pretty exciting to use these countless perks, but only when used to your advantage. Ultimately, when playing a zombie game, it's important to understand what each of the perks does and how they can best be used in certain elements of combat. After all, there are some really cool aspects to Black Ops 4 Zombies that make this game one of the franchise's best, and one of those aspects is its variety of perks.

Timeslip

Timeslip is a perk that allows for the players' equipment cooldown rate to increase. It also allows the Mystery Box and Pack-a-Punch to cycle through available weapons a lot quicker which can be extremely useful in high-stakes situations or when the player needs a specific gun.

Timeslip also reduces Trap and Fast Travel cooldowns. Ultimately this perk is awesome for quick-paced games and when the player knows they'll need to cycle through some Mystery Boxes or run to the Pack-a-Punch mid-round. To get hold of Timeslip the player must select it in the "Modifier" slot. If someone has all the perks, the effects of Timeslip are applied to all Elixirs and the brilliant Special Weapons.

Quick Revive

Drinking a quick revive

Mainly used in a co-op game, Quick Revive is quite literally a lifesaver for most people which makes it all the more popular among Call Of Duty fans. That and the fact that it has a really catchy ringtone.

Essentially, the perk Quick Revive serves to allow the player to revive their teammates quicker. It increases the players' regeneration rate and allows for a shorter delay before regeneration health, which can save lives when needed. This is a perk the player can get in the game from a vending machine costing 1500 points in co-op and 500 points in solo games. Quick Revive is a must.

Death Perception

Death perception symbol and fighting

Death perception is a wonderful way to play when solo. It allows the player to see enemies through walls, like a thermal optic except the Zombies have an orange outline. It allows players to see through walls, and when a zombie is approaching off the players' screen, they will be highlighted by small white arrows around the relevant edge.

Death Perception is a wonderful perk but isn't one that's used that often. Nevertheless, it allows for some bonus damage when hitting a special enemy's weak point which can be pretty useful when playing solo.

Stamin-Up

Staminup bottle and the vending machine

Similar to Quick Revive, Stamin-Up is a must-have when playing in a zombie game. Even though zombies aren't exactly the quickest creatures in the world, they can catch up surprisingly quickly when the player is focusing on another enemy. Stamin-Up increases movement and sprint speed by just a little, but undeniably enough to get out of some sticky situations.

The player's stamina also regenerates a lot faster too! Similar to Quick Revive, Stamin-up can be found in the game from a vending machine costing 2000 points. Expensive yes, but this perk is extremely necessary.

Electric Burst

Electric burst symbol and fighting zombies

Electric Burst is a great perk to have when playing solo or co-op. It really works best when things get desperate and zombies start surrounding the player because this perk expels an electrical discharge that stuns and damages zombies when the player reloads.

In later rounds, this can be a lifesaver. The best thing about it is the notion that the damage gets bigger the lower the ammo is when reloaded. So when low on ammo and time and the player uses every last bullet in their magazine, that damage will save their life.

Dying Wish

This is a hilariously fun perk to have. Dying Wish allows the player to go berserk for 9 seconds instead of dying. It's similar to Last Stand but from the opinion of some fans, Dying Wish is 100x better.

This is purely because of the invulnerability the player gains for those 9 seconds as well as their increased melee damage. It's worth noting that the player is left with 1 health after the 9 seconds so they should really use it to get out of the situation that sends them down. Also, the cooldown of the perk increases considerably every time it's used, so being careful is a must.

Stone Cold Stronghold

Stonecold Stronghold symbol and the bottle

Stone Cold Stronghold is perfect for those players who hate to run around and train zombies. Which is certainly a tactic, but it's super important that the player has the perks to match this like Electric Burst and Stone Cold Stronghold.

Ultimately, Stone Cold Stonghold rewards players for standing their ground by creating a defensive circle that, while inside, boosts the players' damage and armor over time. It's a wonderful perk to have if the player prefers standing their ground and killing, but not so ideal for players who train their zombies.

Victorious Tortoise

Fighting zombies and the victorious tortoise symbol

While Stone Cold Stronghold is an awesome way to stand ground, Victorious Tortoise is a perfect addition to any player's perk list, but particularly fans of Stone Cold Stronghold. This perk brings shields into play that block damage from all directions when the player holds it out.

It's a perk that's brilliant for those players who react quickly to being surrounded. It also triggers a defensive explosion like Electric Burst when the shield breaks, so this perk could really be a lifesaver!

Deadshot Dealer

While there are perks for players who prefer standing their ground and players who prefer training Zombies, perks that actually help the players choose of gun are pretty rare! However, Deadshot Dealer is one of the fantastic exceptions.

Deadshot Dealer helps players who struggle to aim, it would be ideal for snipers. Ultimately, this perk means that aiming down the sight snaps right to the zombie's head! It also reduces hip spread and recoil when firing and reduces the scope sway while aiming and shooting.

Bandolier Bandit

Bandolier bandit symbol and fighting zombies

The worst thing about Zombies is when in mid-battle and the player runs out of ammo. It's a mad dash for that max ammo drop or to run to the wall the player found the gun from just to keep fighting. So if the player struggles with their ammo, then Bandolier Bandit is the perfect perk.

Bandolier Bandit allows the player to carry increased ammo stock which can really be a lifesaver to the players who prefer using a specific gun. After all, who doesn't want more ammo for the Ray-Gun?

Winter’s Wail

Winters wail symbol and the machine

A lot of these zombie perks center around saving the player from tricky situations where they get surrounded by zombies, and Winters wail is no different. It's mainly used to slow or freeze zombies when the player gets hit by one of their melee attacks.

It's worth noting the player can only store two charges so it should be used wisely! Nevertheless, this perk could be the difference between going down to a swarm of zombies surrounding the player or blasting them all with a wall of ice and getting out of there.

Mule Kick

Mule Kick symbol and the vending machine

Everyone loves perks like Mule Kick. After all, who doesn't want two primary weapons to go kill some zombies with? Mule kick is a huge favorite among players and rightly so.

It can be a lifesaver in the later rounds and is one that a lot of players should think about getting. Pistols and secondary weapons are great but a powerful pack-a-punched submachine gun is even better.

PhD Slider

Phd slider drink

Some perks are great and can be extremely powerful when used right, but they often only have two charges. PhD Slider is the complete opposite of those because the player can charge it up by simply sliding around.

Once the player has built up said charge they can simply slide into a zombie to trigger a pretty cool explosion that can really damage an enemy! If that wasn't useful enough, the player also gains resistance to any explosive damage.

Secret Sauce

Secret sauce symbol and bottle

There are 14 Perks in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 which is awesome and provides great variety, but it can be pretty challenging to pick between all of them.

Secret Sauce is pretty much a random slot. It gives the player a random perk that isn't assigned to another slot. Perfect for the indecisive player!
