Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from this week's all-new episode of FOX's Call Me Kat, in which Kat lets her competitive side run wild at a cat show. The series centers around a 39-year-old woman who quits her job as a professor and opens a cat café following her father's death. Created by Darlene Hunt, it first premiered on January 3rd, 2021, and is loosely based on the British television sitcom, Miranda.

The series has a strong main cast, beginning with award-winning actress, Mayim Bialik. Bialik plays the show's titular character and is most notably known for portraying Amy Farrah Fowler in The Big Bang Theory. She also serves as an executive producer alongside her former onscreen husband, Jim Parsons, as well as Miranda Hart, Maria Ferrari, and Jim Patterson. In addition to Bialik as Kat, Call Me Kat stars Swoosie Kurtz as Sheila, Cheyenne Jackson as Max, Kyla Pratt as Randi, and Julian Gant as Carter.

Call Me Kat 3x21 Still 1

In Screen Rant's exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of Call Me Kat, Kat, Sheila, and Randi arrive at a cat show. Sheila and Randi clearly aren't thrilled about the activity, seeing that Sheila is searching for liquor and Randi wishes they went to New Orleans. But while neither of the two appears to share her enthusiasm, one of Kat's most impressive personality traits is her ability to exude enough energy to sustain the entire group.

Her excitement turns to antagonism, however, when the competition gets fierce. Val, who is played by guest star and comedic genius Margaret Cho, is determined to get into Kat's head — even going so far as to steal her "purr-fect" pun. Despite being up against three-time champion Admiral Cheswick, Kat remains certain that her cat, Martin, will leave the show with a trophy.

On another note, the episode features Max's ex (Schuyler Helford), who's interested in giving their relationship another shot now that he is once again single. In light of their separate plotlines, it's likely that "Call Me Pretty Kitty" won't include many scenes between Kat and Max. Nevertheless, there's no doubt that they will remain on each other's minds. The couple recently split after Max prioritized his career over Kat's feelings, but given the nature of their will they/won't they dynamic, there are plenty of signs indicating that they'll rekindle their romance someday down the line.

The newest episode of Call Me Kat airs Thursday, April 27 at 9:30PM ET/PT on FOX and will be available to stream on Hulu.
