Call Me Kat season 2 trailer shows a Blossom cast reunion. Created by Don Reo, Blossom was a highly influential young adult sitcom of the ‘90s. Starring Mayim Bialik as Blossom Russo, the series centers on Blossom as she struggles to navigate her teenage years after her mother abandons the family to start a new life. Making its debut in 1991, the series ran for five successful seasons on NBC.

Blossom follows the girl-next-door who lives with her father and two older brothers, Tony (Michael Stoyanov) and Joey (Joey Lawrence), and is often flanked by her fast-talking best friend, Six (Jenna von Oÿ). In 1995, Bialik signed off as her iconic character when the series ended. Since her run on Blossom, Bialik has become a household name with her roles in The Big Bang Theory and Call Me Kat. Released in January 2021, Call Me Kat follows Kat (Bialik), a single woman who opens up a cat cafe in Kentucky after leaving her job as a professor. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Call Me Kat was renewed for a second season by Fox.

Now, it appears a Blossom reunion is on the horizon. Fox released a trailer for Call Me Kat season 2, which shows Bialik reuniting with her Blossom co-stars. Slated to debut in January 2022 on Fox, Call Me Kat season 2 will feature Lawrence, von Oÿ, and Stoyanov as themselves as they stop by Kat’s Cat Cafe for a celebrity golf tournament. Showing Kat telling delivery man Oscar (Christopher Rivas) to “meet the stars of my favorite show growing up,” the Call Me Kat season 2 teaser reveals Bialik back on screen with her Blossom crew. Of course, it appears the Blossom cast reunion in Call Me Kat season 2 will be full of nods to the ‘90s series, as the trailer highlights Kat forgetting Michael’s name and Stoyanov quipping he’ll be “cropped right out” when Kat wants to pose with the trio for a photo. Also starring Leslie Jordan, Swossie Kurtz, Cheyenne Jackson, Kyla Pratt, and Julian Gant, Call Me Kat season 2 debuts on January 9 on Fox.

For now, Call Me Kat season 2 has provided an opportunity for Bialik to reunite with her former co-stars from the sitcom that was considered a staple of television viewing during its time. Bialik has been struggling for years to get a Blossom reboot greenlit by NBC with no success. Of course, it appears the characters of Blossom have remained at the forefront of Bialik’s creative wheelhouse. While a Blossom reboot may not be in the works, fans of Blossom and Call Me Kat can see the sitcoms join forces to dole out a hearty dose of nostalgia in the Call Me Kat season 2 premiere.
