Things are heating up in Call of Duty: Warzone online lobbies right now, with missile sightings across Verdansk reigniting sparks of new rumors about a Nuke event coming to the game. Players all across the world are reporting strange sightings in the skybox in Warzone right now, leading players to suspect that a Nuke event may be in the works, with Verdansk in the crosshairs.

Call of Duty: Warzone has recently received a number of new features to mix up the gameplay and spice up the game for players. Included in these updates were a number of new Warzone zombie event sightings across the map. Originally these zombies were only found in a shipwreck on the map, but now they have spread to multiple locations, attacking players in hordes and dropping rare loot for players who are lucky enough to survive. This zombie outbreak may just be too much for the players of Warzone to handle, a bigger solution may be in store.

It was thanks to the ModernWarzone Twitter page that information about these sightings started to gain momentum. It was this account that first leaked information about the game before Warzone was launched and has since continued to provide leaked information that has often come true. This account recently posted an image of a missile flying through the sky in Warzone, recorded by a player, with a video showing even more missiles taking to the sky just underneath.

Players have long theorized that the Warzone main map, Verdansk, will end in a Nuclear bombing, which is not uncommon for the Call of Duty franchise to do. Bombing the map into oblivion would be a pretty cool way to retire the map, allowing the developers to bring in a fresh, new map in the wake. This theory is now holding even more weight, with players all over the world reporting on social media that they have been seeing missiles flying through the skybox in Warzone lobbies.

Where these missiles are headed is unknown, but most likely this has to do with the ongoing spread of infected across Verdansk. In most zombie movies, the military usually tries to wipe out the undead issue by blowing them off the map, bombing the zone where the zombies are. While this tends to not work out very well in the movies, maybe Warzone will be a different case. After all, even zombies can’t stand up against the destructive power of a nuke.
