Ahead of the 80s Action Heroes event's release, Activision has shared a closer look at Die Hard's John McClane in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. A leak on Reddit let loose cursory details about Activision's plans last week, thanks to screenshots that showcased both John McClane and Rambo in Call of Duty.

Following a series of teases, the publisher confirmed the Die Hard and Rambo skins would release in a mid-season update for Season 3. Said content is slated to go live tomorrow, May 20, in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Call of Duty: Mobile will similarly receive the action movie-themed fun tomorrow at 5:00 pm PT. Notably, the 80s Action Heroes event boasts limited-time bundles and game modes, the Guns Blazing multiplayer mode included. Rambo fans can expect to gain access to Rambo as a Legendary Operator, along with extras such as two finishing moves and three Legendary Weapon Blueprints. Meanwhile, the Die Hard bundle will feature Operator John McClane, one finisher, and three Legendary Weapon Blueprints.

Today, Activision (via Eurogamer) shared a much closer look at the John McClane model that's set to appear in-game tomorrow. The screenshot shown is of the character in Call of Duty's Operators menu screen. As one would expect, the action hero looks as he did in the Die Hard franchise's first film. A look at the in-game model for Rambo has surfaced online, as well. See both on display in the screenshots below:

Despite the explosive trailers and new screenshots, a few lingering questions about the imminent bundles have yet to receive concrete answers. Pricing details presently remain under lock and key, for example. And Activision still hasn't confirmed if the content will make use of Bruce Willis' and Sylvester Stallone's voice lines from their respective films.

Uncertainties aside, these forthcoming additions should please many a Call of Duty fan, given that there's bound to be plenty of crossover between COD players and those who love 80s action films. This seems all the more plausible when considering the sheer number of users Warzone alone has attracted in the last year. As of late April, Warzone had reached the 100 million-player milestone.
