Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombies are coming to end, as the series's new title, Call of Duty: Vanguard draws closer. Following the reveal and possible release date of the fourth Zombies map by Treyarch, Black Ops Cold War's Zombie storyline is set for a finale during Call of Duty Season 6. To hype players, Treyarch has taken to social media to tease the location of the next map with indistinct details, where the final battle of Requiem and Omega could be taking place.

Call of Duty's Zombie mode originally came out in 2008 with Call of Duty: World at War and became highly popular upon the game's release. Call of Duty Zombies followed over a decade of grounded lore and notable gameplay that most players believe is the heart of the series. Compared to previous installments in the series, which have a significant set of crews for each Zombie mode, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombies, however, allows to play as Operators from either the NATO or Warsaw Pact, as a CIA-backed organization called Requiem. This follows the third storyline in the Call of Duty Zombies series, as Call of Duty: Vanguard's Zombie mode will expand the lore of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the shape of a prequel.

In a Monday tweet, Treyarch shared a black and white image that players who are familiar with Black Ops Cold War campaign will be able to easily recognize. The enormous structure in the photo is the Soviet military training facility in Ukraine that Frank Woods and Agent Bell work to infiltrate in Black Ops Cold War's Operation Redlight, Greenlight mission. On the image, a vague detail is scribbled that says "Weaver, This is the place. We must make our stand here. -Ravenov." Additionally, Treyarch has posted two more teasers on social media, hinting how the finale between Requiem and Omega could take place. Following the Soviet Military training facility, Treyarch posted a similar photo of a cagey vault door on Instagram, labeled as a special gateway. Meanwhile, on Facebook, an image that looks to be the mechanism that opens the portal to the Dark Aether appeared by Treyarch, indicating that this could be Omega's final operation.

The final Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombie map has no release date, but Treyarch confirmed that it would make its way into the title as a part of Call of Duty Season 6's launch content. The upcoming season of post-launch content is expected to begin around the first week of October, so players still have almost a month left to take advantage of the Season 5 battle pass and unlock all of its rewards. The Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded update recently also added new Outbreak content to Zombies mode, along with a new map and world event that players can utilize.
