After surviving 13 years of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Caitlyn Jenner recently announced that she would be braving the Australian jungle on the British version of  I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Jenner, who previously appeared on the US version of the show back in 2003, decided to rejoin the cast this season. However, her mother, Esther Jenner, is not in support of the decision.

It appears the former Olympic athlete will be the oldest cast member in a group that skews fairly young. Jenner recently celebrated her 70th birthday at a party, thrown by her youngest daughter Kylie Jenner. The party came after years of feuding following Caitlyn's divorce from Kris Jenner. But it appears the family is on the mend as the 22-year-old beauty mogul managed to get the majority of the Jenner and Kardashian clan in attendance. Jenner previously appeared on the hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians since its inception in 2007. Caitlyn and Kris proudly showed off their blended family, which included Kris' children Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob, along with their two daughters together - Kylie and Kendall. Caitlyn's son Brody Jenner has been a popular star on MTV's hit series The Hills.

With all the reality TV money in the Jenner family, it's no surprise that Caitlyn herself decided to return to the reality TV screen. But Caitlyn's appearance on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will be a lot different from Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The show will follow her for 24 hours a day and see how she copes with being stripped of her normal life luxuries. But, according to InTouch Weekly, Caitlyn’s 93-year-old mom, Esther Jenner, said she will not be watching her daughter on her new reality show. “We have a Survivor [show] here in the United States, I never watched it, I’ve skimmed over it, or seen previews and I decided that I don’t really care for that,” Esther said. “That’s not entertainment to me, to see somebody frightened,” she said, adding, “I think she could spend a lot more pleasant times on the golf course!”

However, it's not just her distaste for survival reality shows that has Esther questioning the decision, she also doesn't like how far away Caitlyn will be. “I’ve tried not to think of Caitlyn being over there [in Australia]. It’s three weeks… a long time to go without hearing from her,” Esther explained. “When she’s in the States she calls me almost every day, so I’ve got to live without hearing her.” Esther acknowledged how difficult the show will be for Caitlyn and how worried she will be. “It’s like a competition, I guess, and there are not very many people that get through it. I don’t want to be thinking about that at 1 o’clock in the morning, I cannot sleep,” Esther said, referencing the time difference between the United States and Australia. “I have no idea [why she’s doing this]. I don’t ask her questions to get into her mind or how she feels about this or that,” she added. “My big worry is [she may] get bitten by a snake or a poisonous insect.”

Meanwhile, Caitlyn is fully aware of her mom's disapproval of the show. “She had to tell me she was going on this show, and I said, ‘I never liked the show here in the United States and I didn’t watch it’.” In regards to what made Caitlyn want to appear on the survival reality show, the Kardashians’ former nanny Pam Behan shared some insight. “I would say this is a move to gain the Kardashian girls’ and ex Kris Jenner’s respect,” she told InTouch. “The whole time I knew Bruce, it seemed like none of them respected him that much.” Caitlyn might still be facing a lack of respect from her former after Khloe Kardashian was noticeably absent from her 70th birthday party last month. Prior to the birthday party, the Revenge Body host wrote on her own Instagram Story that she was busy “shooting a commercial all day.” But many felt like it had to do with a recent feud Caitlyn admitted to having with Khloe and Scott Disick. We're wishing Caitlyn a successful run on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
