Here's what the cast of Cagney & Lacey looks like now and their biggest shows and movies since. Cagney & Lacey is a classic CBS procedural series that debuted in 1981. The show followed the titular female detectives in New York, with the concept originally being developed as a female buddy comedy movie after producer Barney Rosenzweig realized there had never been one.

Cagney & Lacey proved to be a groundbreaking series for its depiction of two smart and capable female detectives. The show ultimately ran for seven seasons before coming to a close in 1988. Most of the cast later reunited for a series of TV movies during the 1990s, with Cagney & Lacey: True Convictions being the final installment. In 2018 it was announced that Sarah Drew and Michelle Hurd (Star Trek: Picard) would star in a Cagney & Lacey reboot, but CBS opted not to pick up the show after shooting a pilot.

Easily her biggest series since was Burn Notice, where she had a main role as the mother of "burned" spy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan). She also appeared in season 1 of The Exorcist and has reunited with Daly in the likes of The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and an episode of Burn Notice.

Meg Foster - Christine Cagney (Season 1)

Meg Foster replaced Loretta Swit as Cagney following the show's pilot, as the latter was contractually bound by the TV series M.A.S.H. Foster played the part for six episodes, before being dropped by CBS who feared she was too tough and "non-feminine" in appearance. Foster has since become a genre movie icon, appearing in 1987's Masters Of The Universe movie, They Live and Rob Zombie's Lords Of Salem.
